When "progress" hits the local neighborhood in Real Estate ·
Is it just me, or is the tension between massive industrial development and residential life reaching a breaking point lately? I was reading about a new project in a nearby suburb, and it really got me thinking about how much leverage a small town actually has when a giant corporation comes knocking. On one hand, you want the tax revenue and the modern infrastructure, but on the other, you don't want your quiet community turned into a giant, humming concrete block that changes the entire vibe of the area.

It feels like every time a big developer eyes a piece of land, the local council starts playing this high-stakes game of chicken. They try to stack up endless requirements to protect the local character, while the companies just see it as another line item in a budget. I remember when a warehouse project tried to move in near my old place; the neighbors were so split between wanting the jobs and fearing the traffic that the whole town felt divided for years.

At what point does "protecting the community" just become an endless list of demands that kills the deal entirely? Do you think it's fair for towns to squeeze these companies for every penny, or are we just making it impossible for any actual growth to happen?
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
The pain is enough to make me pass out! I mean, not literally... I was taking all sorts of pills at first, but the intense pain always left me feeling weak, then comes the vomiting, then the nausea...
Basically, my doctor prescribed VOLTAREN 50 mg suppositories, some heat for the abdomen (a heating pad or a scarf), and a cup of hot tea.
I know everyone cringes when they hear the word "suppository"—but believe me, it actually works!
The worst part is the application and just holding on for a few seconds (you usually get an immediate urge to use the restroom), but then the relief hits instantly.🙂
Give it a try! I’m not nearly as anxious about my period anymore now that I have the perfect solution.🙏
