Dealing with bad cramps?

So, it’s a similar story for me... the pain has just steadily gotten worse over the years, so I’ve been leaning on Ibuprofen since it’s a bit easier on my stomach—I deal with some pretty nasty acid reflux, which makes other stuff a nightmare. I tried taking Spasmex for the cramps for a while, but it made my heart race like crazy, so I had to ditch that too, and honestly, it wasn't any more effective than the Ibuprofen anyway. All through my pregnancy, people kept telling me it was nothing, insisting that actual labor pains are a hundred times worse and that everything would magically settle down after the baby arrived. Well, I gave birth eight months ago. For context, my period cramps feel like moderate contractions—at least they do for me—and they haven't stopped one bit since the delivery, so the whole "it gets better" thing is a total myth in my book. Maybe it works for some people... hormone therapy helped a friend of mine, but I can't touch that stuff because of some lumps in my breasts, plus I've never really been a big fan of hormonal interventions. Staying active does help, though; if you're feeling absolutely miserable and just want to curl up in a ball, you really should try to go for a walk if you can manage it. It only worked for me once, though, mostly because the pain usually just rips me right out of my sleep. So, I'm sticking with the Ibuprofen...
