I honestly can’t wrap my head around what our gynecologists actually do, and I am just so incredibly fed up with this entire healthcare system. It feels like their one-size-fits-all solution for every single issue is just slapping a prescription for birth control on you; they treat it like a magic wand for everything. When I ask why I’m in so much pain—especially when my scans don't show cysts or anything else out of the ordinary—they just shrug and say, "Well, that’s just how it is for some women..." Like, excuse me? That is not okay, period. And because it was never "normal" for me to be in agony and have to swallow handfuls of painkillers just to function, I decided to take matters into my own hands and dig into the actual causes of this pain. Has anyone else in your family—maybe your mom, an aunt, or your grandma—dealt with this? I get the feeling that women didn't struggle nearly as much back in the day, but now it seems like everyone I know is suffering through debilitating pain, PCOS, hormonal acne, and all that stuff.
After fifteen years of dealing with pain so intense I couldn't even make it through a school day, I am finally living pain-free. My hormonal acne has cleared up, and all of this happened simply because I made some tweaks to my diet, added a few supplements (which I’ve mentioned before), and started doing some light workouts at home. Seriously, why didn't my doctor ever suggest any of this? Not even a simple hormone panel or anything helpful—just the same old story about contraception over and over again.
I don’t mean to sound like a broken record here, but please, just give natural remedies a fair shake. I’m not out here trying to sell you some snake oil or some miracle cure that doesn't exist; I'm speaking from experience. For me, switching to a system based on black cohosh didn't just "ease" my pain—it completely wiped it out for the first time in my life. Before that, I was popping pills like candy and honestly, they made me feel absolutely miserable. You have to be patient with it, though; you need to let it work for at least two months. I know, I know—nobody likes hearing that because we live in this culture obsessed with instant gratification, where you want everything fixed in five minutes flat. I can't even explain why I stuck with it when it seemed so counterintuitive. I think, deep down, I just couldn't wrap my head around the idea that something as ordinary as black cohosh could actually do the job, especially when we've been trained to believe that if you just grab a handful of pills, they'll basically concrete you into place and solve everything. But for me, the pain was constantly sitting at an 8 or a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10—and look, 10 is when you're calling 911—so it was just a constant, godawful nightmare. Anyway, good luck, ladies.🙂
I finally FOUND THE SOLUTION for those absolutely horrific, soul-crushing pains!!!!
First off, just to clear the air: I don’t have PCOS, and my cycle is pretty regular, coming every 28 to 30 days. But ever since I can remember, I’ve been dealing with these massive waves of pain and nausea, popping pills like they're candy. I’ve actually posted on this forum before looking for answers because I was honestly at my wits' end. Well, this month, for the first time in my life, my period arrived and it didn't hurt one bit!!!!! I was actually bracing myself for the agony because I felt a little bit of discomfort, but then—NOTHING!
For exactly two months, I’ve been taking one 1000 mg capsule of cold-pressed evening primrose oil every single day (and I could probably handle two), which I ordered through eBay. I did my homework first to make sure I was getting the good stuff; you really have to check the label to ensure it says: Pure Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil 1000 mg, Gamma Linolenic Acid 90 mg... mine also has some Vitamin E added in.
By the end of the first month, I started noticing a shift, though I still had to take a pill because the pain was still nagging at me a little. To be honest, I almost threw in the towel because I was expecting a miracle overnight. But by the second month? Absolutely NOTHING. No pain, no cramps, not even a tiny twinge. Just total relief!!
+ I also took 375 mg of magnesium directly along with a B-complex for about six days, which I’m certain helped too, given how much magnesium affects muscle tension—and I know a lot of you have pointed out how helpful it can be..
Feel free to shoot me a private message if you want to know exactly which brand I ordered, since our local pharmacies here in the States charge way too much for my budget..🙂😍
