I think it’s just called Pilates; there’s some woman working out on the cover. It has a white background, too. It's a pretty nice edition, though the format is a bit unusual—kind of somewhere between a standard sheet of paper and a regular book size. The pages feel a little wider than usual...
As for the sweets, I couldn't really tell you. I don't strictly follow any specific rules; I just kind of do whatever feels right at the moment. I rarely eat much sugar, except for those phases where I just have a massive craving for it... and even then, it's not frequent enough to be a real issue. I'm not too sure about anything else, either. If you're looking to get abs, I guess you'd have to watch what you eat—cut back on pasta, red meat, and stuff like that. That's usually how the belly happens, or so I've heard.
I don't think that's quite right, shadowgardener12. I mean, if you’re persistent enough, you really can do everything on your own. Don't let her lose heart.
You have to stay active constantly, otherwise you won't get toned because you aren't moving... that's pretty basic logic, right?! And as for curves... I can't really give you much advice there, since mine stay exactly where they are no matter how I pose.😁
But I always do some exercises, I go for runs... and you could probably find some tips online... I think everything works if you just stick with it... if you relax a little, then you're good to go.
I remember seeing this book in the library this past summer—it was translated into English—about Pilates, specifically for body shaping. I'm not entirely sure how much "true" Pilates it actually is, but the exercises themselves seem really solid.
The workouts are broken down into categories: glutes and legs, waist and back... and I think they even have stuff for arms and general flexibility (which is super important). So, maybe try looking for it.
You can totally do this yourself; just don't get discouraged if you don't see results immediately. 🙂
My parents are pretty open-minded about this stuff, but my community? Not so much. To avoid getting into heated arguments with some pretty narrow-minded neighbors, I used to make up excuses—saying the food didn't suit me or that I was allergic to meat or something. But lately, I just can't bring myself to perform for anyone. I feel like if you believe in something, people should respect that, just like I respect their convictions. So, I’m sticking to my guns. Honestly, I think it’s for the best. People might give you grief for a while, but eventually, they get over it. That’s just how the world works, I guess...
Regarding your parents, maybe try educating them? Lay out the facts from a scientific perspective. Try to show them there's absolutely no connection to terrorism or any health risks. Facts usually go a long way if you're persistent enough.
Good luck!
I’ll see how things look on Monday, and if there isn't any improvement by then, I might have to try some different approaches...
Honestly, I'm hoping everything turns out fine; at least from my perspective, the eye looks okay.
...And yeah, there's this whole mystery I'm going to ask her to walk me through in detail this Monday, because I'm honestly dying to know why this happened and where it all started.
p.s. jadetinker85, I don't live in the States, and besides, this woman is a highly regarded, top-tier specialist...

I haven't really heard of people using that for this, to be honest.
Personally, I reach for some Cortisone-Neomycin eye drops whenever I notice a bit of redness or if my eyes start watering. I make sure to use them super sparingly, though—only when absolutely necessary.
I actually had a bout of conjunctivitis once where I waited too long to treat it, and by the time I did, things had spiraled out of control. Now, I'm pretty cautious about it.
The drops don't hurt at all, and they usually clear up any irritation before it can turn into that intense, painful redness.
Yeah, exactly—my doctor gave me the Cortisone-Neomycin drops, which have been fine, but she also prescribed iodine since it acts as an antiseptic. When I asked her about it, she said it was standard, even though it definitely stings 😢... I stuck to the schedule for a week, but she told me to go for another week because the symptoms aren't fading. I'm starting to get a little worried. Isn't conjunctivitis supposed to be a minor thing?
The real struggle with meds is how much you get used to them; when something like this hits, wearing glasses feels so incredibly annoying... I am seriously counting down the days until Monday so I can get back to my little sweet pills. 😛 🙂
I have these soft contact lenses—the kind you wear for maybe a month or two at most—and they’re honestly great. They aren't even that pricey, and I’ve got six of them in a little case that should last me about a year.
Lately, though, I've come down with conjunctivitis; I guess I just caught whatever bug was going around this week... my doctor prescribed some povidone-iodine solution for my eye.
Quick question: is it supposed to hurt this much when you put it in? Because this is absolutely brutal. It stings like crazy, and my eye stays red and watery for about five minutes before things settle down. It doesn't really feel logical that it's supposed to be this intense... does anyone know if this is normal?
That’s just nonsense! I actually know someone who hasn't touched meat in fifteen years, and they're doing absolutely fine—healthy as can be. They don't even use salt on their food.
It honestly drives me nuts when my relatives—even just second cousins—invite me over for lunch, and of course, there’s always some massive spread of meat on the table. I really don't eat meat, especially not pork or anything like that. And then, the second you mention you're skipping the meat, they snap at you: "Oh, so you're a vegetarian now?!" As if that's some kind of insult, when people are out here trying to eat healthy! It turns the whole meal into this awkward scene...
Or, like that one time my father-in-law and aunt dragged me out to a restaurant, and I was hoping for some veggie specialties, only for them to give me this "diplomatic" look and say, "Well, just because you don't eat meat doesn't mean you aren't going to eat *something*, since we brought you out to dinner."
Fuck, I won't even touch a salad after nine o'clock, let alone meat.
I guess I just don't understand why it's so hard for people to accept. I just don't like it, and I'm not a fan of soda or stuff like that either.
