Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Yeah, I saw that in the instructions. So, what should my next move be? Can I start following the dosage on the label starting tomorrow? Up until now, I've only been taking two a day.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I’ve been taking Detralex for about a month and a half now, but I'm seeing absolutely zero progress. My doctor prescribed one tablet in the morning and one at night, but the actual instructions on the packaging say to take 6 tablets a day for the first few days, then 4 tablets a day for the next several days. I decided to follow my doctor's orders instead of the package directions, and nothing has changed. To make matters worse, my primary doctor is currently out on medical leave, so I can't get her advice. I did ask the replacement doctor—she's pretty young—and she just told me to stick with the two-a-day routine, but I feel like I'm getting nowhere. Is it okay if I switch to following the prescription instructions instead? I don't have anyone else to turn to. I really believe my regular doctor would have given me much better guidance than this new one. If anyone has dealt with a similar situation, I’d be super grateful for some help.

So, I’ve been using this with the Fact applicator. It feels a little awkward and honestly a bit uncomfortable to deal with, but here we are... Anyway, I have a question. I’ve already gone through more than half of my supply of Fact. What I’m wondering is this: when I use it with the applicator, I squeeze it all out, but there is always some residue left inside the tube. It genuinely bothers me to just wash it down the drain every single time. I make sure to take the tube off and give it a thorough cleaning, and I can’t help but notice how much of the product I’m actually wasting. There is no way to get it back in there. Does anyone know if there is a solution for this? It really feels like a waste. More of the product is ending up in my sink than actually helping with my hemorrhoids. Plus, I don't feel like it's hygienic to not clean the tube after every use, so I'm looking for some advice.

Michael Diaz4 said:Auuu, so young and already dealing with hemorrhoids...🙄 Sitting isn't actually the cause; you don't get them just from sitting. You really need to focus on eating a bit healthier. This is just the beginning. To prevent bigger issues down the road, you should look into a non-invasive procedure to get rid of them for good. If people realized how simple the surgery is, they'd jump on it immediately and be done with the problem forever...

Sounds like things are going pretty smoothly, considering the surgery part, but tell me this: am I supposed to apply this Fact internally or externally? Also, just for info, I started applying it about 24 hours ago and honestly, there's zero improvement. This is the first time it's been like this for me. I've had hemorrhoids before, but usually, if they flared up on Monday, they were gone by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Now I'm starting to worry because these have been bothering me since Tuesday and it's already Sunday. :/

Nobody on this forum has ever gotten rid of them forever just by using ointments!

I sit a lot regardless. I'm a high school senior graduating next year and heading off to college soon. I'm always going to be sitting a ton. If it were possible to stand up in a classroom, I'd do it, but obviously, you can't. When I get home from school, it's just studying, practicing, and drafting in AutoCAD. Since I'm in construction and surveying, drawing and being stuck at a computer all day is basically my entire life. My future is pretty much set: I'll be sitting a lot. Still, it really depends on what "sitting a lot" means to you. For some people, that's an hour; for others, it's five hours or ten. It varies.

Fact, I just picked up the ointment without a prescription. I walked right into the pharmacy, told them what I needed, and that was that. Now, I’m honestly not sure—can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to recover from hemorrhoids if I applied it at noon today? Will things be back to normal by Monday, or am I looking at a longer recovery time?

So, I finally picked up some Fact ointment. Michael Diaz4, regarding what you were saying about managing the pain—honestly, it doesn't even hurt that much anymore. It only stings a little if I touch it, and today, even touching it feels fine. I just applied some Fact internally, and I put a little bit on my external hemorrhoid too, rubbing it in well. We'll see how it goes. I’m heading out to the beach in three hours, then I'll apply it again tonight. Hopefully, I'll see some real progress by tomorrow. Thanks for all the help, everyone! Seriously, Fact ointment is worth every penny for anyone dealing with this. $13 Just at the pharmacy!
How to gain weight? in Health ·
Given your height, your weight is a bit under what most would call "ideal." If you're looking to gain weight, try incorporating higher-fat foods and more bread into your diet—maybe grab some fast food at McDonald's now and then. Just make sure you don't cut out the nutritious stuff like soups, veggies, and fruit. That should definitely help you get where you want to be.

Michael Diaz4 said:I'm not upset at all, where did you get that idea? You don't really need a prescription for Fact. Fact has one downside, though—it lacks cortisol, which helps with pain. Give it a shot; for milder cases, it should help. When my situation got complicated, it didn't do much for me, but it might work for you. Regarding using wet wipes to clean up—don't do that. It’s better to wash the area with water several times a day to stay fresh and manage the sweat. Definitely keep it clean. Good luck...

I actually thought you sounded angry while I was reading your post! By the way, do you know how much Fact usually costs? And what would be better, Fact or Dolokain? What's the price for Dolokain if you happen to know? I want both, and thanks for the advice. I'll pick them up tomorrow and hope to feel some improvement by Monday. Are there specific instructions on how to apply it? I heard Fact comes with an applicator; do I put the Fact or the Dolokain inside or on the outside? Thanks!

I'm heading out tomorrow to pick up some Fact cream. I really don't feel like waiting around. Do I actually need a prescription for it?

I honestly can't tell if any of this is actually helping. I haven't used any of those three things for two days straight or even multiple times in one day yet—I just end up using one of them every single time. Because of that, I'm not sure if it's working; if anything, I think it's just making the area more sensitive. So, I decided to stop applying everything for now. Yesterday was the last time I used that baby powder, and that’s it. I'm going to wait until Monday, and if things feel worse, I'll go see my doctor. But if the situation improves even a little bit, I won't bother going. How long does it typically take for the irritation to subside? To disappear? Also, I get the feeling while reading these posts that you're pretty agitated. Calm down; you sound completely frustrated. And who says you shouldn't wash down there after using the restroom? It's all about the fact that everything I've been applying seems to be making the sensitivity worse. I'll just wait until Monday and see if things start looking up.

When it comes to getting my steps in, I try to walk as much as possible. Even though I spend most of my time just hanging out at home, once I actually step out the door, I’m strictly on a walking mission!

I don't really need money for the beach since I live in Miami, so the ocean is basically free for me. I'm going to steer clear of decent pizza and stuff like that anyway. Tell me though, what's the deal with using that Solee cream, the powder, and those aloe and chamomile wipes? Should I actually be using them or what? Honestly, ever since Wednesday, the area has become way more sensitive to the touch, so I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't put anything on it at all. To make matters worse, I’ve got this cold and I can't stop coughing—could that actually be making things harder? I'm staying away from alcohol, and I'll definitely be sticking to fruit.

I’m being really careful about how much I sit and for how long. It’s been three days now and I’m still dealing with this. On the first day, I used some Solee cream. The second day, I went with aloe and chamomile wipes. Yesterday, I tried using a baby powder designed for sensitive skin, but the issue is still there. Today, I’m planning on using nothing at all just to see what happens. I’m also watching my diet—I had some bell peppers and a sandwich for breakfast, and I'll probably grab pizza later this afternoon. Yesterday was pretty plain, just some burgers and potatoes with no spice or heavy seasoning. Can anyone give me some actual advice here? Should I stick to one of those things—the cream, the wipes, or the powder—or is it better to just leave it alone? I’d buy that cream if I could, but money is a bit tight right now.

I went out this past Monday and ended up getting back home around 6 AM, and that’s when I noticed my hemorrhoids are flaring up again. Honestly, I've dealt with them for quite a while now; they just come and go, so I don't let it stress me out too much. But I have a quick question about what to do next. Yesterday, one was about 3 mm thick and maybe 6-7 mm long, but today it’s already cut in half. Is it okay for me to head to the beach? Yesterday I used some standard Solee cream, and since this morning, I've already wiped twice with aloe and chamomile baby wipes. Can I use those wipes while I'm out and about? And seriously, can I still go to the beach? I'm really hoping this clears up by tomorrow. It doesn't actually hurt, but I definitely feel it there, and it only stings if I touch it. :/

Hey there!

I have a quick question. I was out the other night, and when I got home this morning, I noticed a tiny little bump near my anus. It feels about 3mm thick and maybe 6 or 7mm long. I'm wondering how I can fix this? I first spotted it Tuesday morning around 6 AM. I thought it would be gone by now, but it's still there after a day. I applied some Solee cream yesterday, and I really should go see a doctor at the Medical Clinic, but honestly, I'm too embarrassed to talk about it. Does anyone know of any other solutions? I get hemorrhoids every now and then—they usually clear up in a day or two—so I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out what to do.
