Hi there... apologies if this feels like spam, I just couldn't find a direct answer elsewhere 🙂
So, I'm curious—does anyone here know who buys antiques in the States? I have a German typewriter at home, over a century old. It’s one of only nine ever produced. It's in great shape, still has the original metal serial number plate on the back.
I checked with some contacts in Germany, and they mentioned certain auction houses would snap it up instantly. However, given the headaches involved with shipping high-value antiques across international borders, I'm hesitant to go that route.
