It isn't actually for sale; I am simply curious about its market value. Here are a few more photos, though they aren't ideal since they were taken on a phone.

Mom handed it over to someone for restoration, costing $1000. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

Can anyone lend a hand in deciphering the style, the country of origin, etc.?🙂 I've tried hunting for something similar online, but I've come up empty-handed.

While cleaning out the old family house, we stumbled upon this table. My mother insisted we bring it home, claiming it’s a genuine heirloom—something a great-grandfather or perhaps even her father brought back somewhere around the turn of the 20th century, roughly 1900.

In my estimation, it lacks the inherent value required to justify the expense of a professional restoration. Beyond that, it is quite frankly so unsightly that catching a glimpse of it in the middle of the night is genuinely unsettling. However, she remains convinced of its worth, so I am turning to you for an assessment. If anyone here specializes in this field and might be able to provide an estimate, I would appreciate it. What is the approximate market value of a piece like this?

It’s been 25 days since my last update. In the interim, I’ve been overeating in an attempt to maintain a caloric surplus and pack on some muscle mass. However, despite the bingeing, a deficit somehow reasserted itself, and I actually ended up losing a bit of weight. Consequently, I am abandoning the bulking attempt—at least until I hit the 200lb mark, as I am currently sitting at 172lbs. I will instead finish my previous goal: reaching 10% body fat. I anticipate hitting that within thirty to forty-five days. 🙂

Could I get a body fat estimate?

P.S. It feels somewhat awkward posting photos right after a session with Venancio, but dissatisfaction serves as the foundation for progress. Moving forward. 🙂

I just updated my logs, so I figured I’d drop the progress here as well... the older photos are over in that archived thread. To give you the quick version: back on May 18, 2009, I was sitting at 192 lbs with a body fat percentage north of 40% (roughly looking like Shaq 🙂). By July 1, 2009, I had dropped to 183 lbs with about 25% body fat. Right now, I’m taking a breather from the strict dieting that fueled that 30-pound loss. Once this break is over—likely in September—I’ll get back to the game plan: hitting 10% body fat. If all goes according to plan, I should reach that goal by the end of the year (in about four months of work).

I had anticipated gaining some weight back once I transitioned to a more sustainable diet, but that hasn't really happened, which is actually a pleasant surprise. 🙂

Account breach! Just wanted to weigh in. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It works like this: a group develops a keylogger—or any other malware or Trojan—and deploys it. It’s a cat-and-mouse game where they use it until antivirus software or specialized security programs eventually flag and neutralize the threat. There is always that window of vulnerability before the detection catches up. Still, I find it somewhat absurd to think someone would go through all that effort just to mess with your account on a site like Reddit...

For instance, let’s say I commit an infraction on January 1, 2009. I receive a mandatory citation, I don't appeal it, and it becomes final on January 8, 2009.

On December 20, 2010, I get a call instructing me to report to the municipal court regarding the execution of a prison sentence.

I receive the call, but I simply fail to show up at the court.

Does that specific call interrupt the two-year statute of limitations?

Once that call is made, does the clock for the statute of limitations start ticking all over again?

If they can't find a spot for me in a correctional facility by January 8, 2011, would the statute of limitations have expired by then?

brisksurfer said:So, I was cruising around the neighborhood on my scooter today when some cop pulled me over and slapped me with a ticket $333 for not wearing a helmet. Everyone’s laughing at me, which is ridiculous because I *always* wear one. But today? I had been hopping on and off this thing a million times already. By the time I was just doing a quick 500-meter stretch down a side street to get home, I didn't feel like messing with the strap, and five minutes later—BAM—I run right into a freaking cop. Anyway, that’s beside the point (and I’m writing this specifically to shut up the moralists who are going to jump in here to lecture me about being "irresponsible"—trust me, I know the rules)

I want to know if there is any way to appeal this or dodge the fine, or maybe even wait out the statute of limitations. I am a college student, though I'm not sure if that actually helps anything since I have a perfectly clean record. I refused to sign the citation. Other people in my family drive scooters too, but I assume that doesn't matter since he already took my driver's license 🤷

Thanks in advance
