So, about my feet...

1. Lately, I’ve noticed this weird thing where my toenails are getting thicker, but only halfway up. It's almost like... from the base to the middle, they look normal, but then right in the center, there's this sudden horizontal thickening that carries all the way to the tip.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

2. Also, a few months back, while I was just walking, I felt this intense burning sensation in my foot, somewhere near my toes. That burning eventually turned into actual pain, and when I took off my sock after about five minutes, 3. my third toe was all swollen, and the area around it too. Pretty soon, the swelling turned bruised and purple. I went to see my primary care doctor, and she told me I probably just snapped a tiny little vessel or something and that it would clear up in a few days. And, I mean, it did... for a bit. But then the exact same thing happened again yesterday, in the exact same spot on my foot.

Again, I guess... has anyone experienced similar issues?

Thanks

uuuuuu....
So, I just picked up my last two pairs of denim from Diesel, and I’ve been sitting here thinking—maybe I should actually ask the girls on this forum for some advice. I was wondering if there might be something out there that's a bit more budget-friendly... because, well, let's face it, those prices are getting pretty ridiculous lately...

Ugh, I’m back at it again... on the hunt for denim...
My issue—and please, bear with me because this might sound a bit ridiculous—is that my butt is just too flat. It sounds funny, I know, but it's a real struggle. The thing isn't even finding jeans that fit the width of my hips; I can usually find that much easier. The actual nightmare is the cut. Like, 99.99% of what I try fits the waist perfectly, but the shape is just... wrong. They completely flatten everything out and honestly, they end up deforming my silhouette. Not to mention, they are incredibly uncomfortable to wear for more than five minutes.
I really don't want to resort to wearing baggy, oversized clothes because, well, I actually like my butt, so that option is pretty much out of the question.🙂
Does anyone else here deal with this kind of thing? Is there a specific brand out there that actually takes curves into account when they design their cuts?
Thanks

haha

this is honestly what keeps me up at night:

...though, I guess you might actually be onto something... maybe the winning formula is just hitting the gym and then crushing some junk food... let me know if it actually works for you

I feel like I’m dealing with the exact same struggle... honestly, the actual amount of food I eat isn't even the issue. My girlfriends are always constantly surprised by how much I can actually put away, yet nothing seems to stick. It’s like it just disappears. I eat pretty much everything, too, at all hours of the day or night. I’ve thought about trying to hit the gym or start exercising, but I have this nagging feeling it might actually make things look worse? Like, maybe I'd just end up with muscle on these super thin arms, sort of like how Madonna looks lately... just, you know, not a great look.

Thanks. I'm moving this post over there.

So, my mom was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus a few years back. It all started when she noticed this rash on her face and decided to go see a dermatologist. They put her on Resochin. Now, once she got the diagnosis and started the treatment, that facial rash actually cleared up, which was good, I guess... but since then, she’s just been so much more exhausted. She feels this constant weakness throughout her entire body, and her joints have been giving her a lot of trouble—especially her hands.

The thing is, the dermatologist hasn't really suggested seeing a specialist for anything else, or even looking into physical therapy.

If any of you have dealt with SLE directly, or maybe even indirectly through someone you know, could you please let me know if this is really all there is to do? Or... I don't know, maybe her doctor is missing something important here?

thanks
