Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Has anyone else dealt with things sagging again after surgery? I’m almost a year out and I’ve just started noticing it’s hanging again..☹️

I went through my insurance and had everything done in Vukovar. I went in for the exam and was in surgery just ten days later... but dammit, I just noticed one is poking out again. I swear, I'm gonna lose my mind! 😵..

Here’s my rundown on getting my hemorrhoids fixed via Laparoscopic surgery. Honestly, the actual procedure went super smoothly. The hemorrhoid was massive, so I insisted on full general anesthesia—and if I had to go under the knife again, I wouldn't change a thing. They let me head home on the third day (after I had a massive bathroom emergency triggered by some prune juice and yogurt, which was a total nightmare, but hey, whatever). But man, the real struggle started once I got back home. Dealing with bowel movements became an absolute ordeal for a long time; I’m talking about the 20th poop being even worse than the first one. I was literally crying, drinking enough laxative tea to fill a lake from the local drugstore, chugging water, eating flaxseed, chia seeds, and blending smoothies with combinations you wouldn't believe just to make sure I had a daily movement. I couldn't even risk a hard stool or missing a day because, for me, that felt like taking five steps backward. Long story short, it was a painful, brutal experience. I seriously didn't think recovery would be this much of a mess; for me, just using the restroom was a huge battle. On top of that, I dealt with uncontrollable gas during those bathroom trips—sometimes it happens so fast you don't even have time to reach the toilet, so yeah, there were accidents in my underwear too. Total sick leave ended up being three months altogether. Down there feels okay now, it just feels like there's a literal rope pulling when I go. I’m still sipping on laxative tea because I’ve always struggled with constipation, which is what landed me in surgery in the first place. Drink tons of water, watch what you eat, and... yeah, it passed. Good luck to everyone else heading in for surgery! 🙂

Quick question about using the restroom. Do you guys actually use herbal teas to help things move along, or what? I’ve been trying this mountain tea, but I honestly can't nail the timing. If I drink it at night, by morning I’m already dealing with a total bottleneck, and then it’s a nightmare in the restroom because I can't fully empty my system. I end up having to drink more just because I'm terrified of getting backed up. I’m eating super light and drinking tons of water just to get it out, but it feels like every time I take one step forward, I end up taking two steps back. How are you all handling this business? P.S. Paul Campbell10, thanks for the reply! :

Hey everyone. I’m on day three post-op, and honestly, trying to go to the bathroom is absolute torture. My stomach feels totally bloated and I’ve got gas going everywhere. Has anyone else dealt with this crazy intestinal bloating after surgery? I’m being super careful about what I eat just to try and keep things soft, but man, it’s a struggle. Every time I hit the restroom, it’s just pure agony.

Richard Miller15 said:I honestly don't get why everyone is making such a massive deal out of this. Why are you guys struggling and whining so much? I guarantee you’ve all dealt with way worse pain in your lives than this. A week, two weeks, maybe even three weeks to recover? Please. In the grand scheme of things, that's nothing. Get over it. 🙂
I’m honestly done with all that nonsense—pills, ointments, herbal supplements... none of it ever did a damn thing for me. I wasted so much time on stuff that promised the world and delivered zero results. So, I finally just pulled the trigger on surgery to get it over with, and honestly? Best decision I ever made. I’ve been living my life completely pain-free for almost five months now. It's a total game-changer. 🙂
Come on, just get it done already so we can move on! 🙂 Don't drag your feet on this, seriously. If you wait too long, the condition is just going to get worse, and then you're looking at much more intense procedures and even more invasive surgery. Get it handled now before it becomes a massive headache.
Hey, what's up? Good luck out there!

So, I finally pulled the trigger and scheduled surgery for my hemorrhoids. It looks like it’ll be in about two weeks, which honestly feels pretty quick if you ask me. I've been dealing with these external ones for years now, and I've hit that breaking point where nothing works anymore—not the creams, not the antibiotics, basically nothing. To make matters worse, I have this total mental block whenever I actually sit down in front of my doctor; I completely freeze up and forget to ask the most basic questions about what I should be doing next. 😵So, I'm trying to get the scoop on how this whole thing actually works. Like, what position is the patient even in during the surgery? And once it's all over, how long are we talking for the hospital stay—is it just a day, two days, or what? I also want to know about the recovery grind. How long did it take for you guys to actually feel like humans again? I mean, when could you realistically get back to your normal routine—handling work, using the bathroom without a struggle, all that stuff? Give it to me straight.

I’ve been dealing with Hemic for years now—like, forever—but I usually keep things under control by making sure I stay warm and watching what I eat. But a couple of days ago, out of nowhere, I felt this sharp stinging sensation in my rectum, even though my bathroom trips have been totally fine lately (if you want me to be graphic, everything looks just like smooth mortar). As soon as that stinging hit, I slathered on some Hemic cream and it actually helped, but then this morning when I went to the bathroom... God, there was blood. And I mean a lot of blood. It felt like it was going on for an hour and a half. It’s internal; I can feel that stabbing sensation specifically on the right side inside, and honestly, I was freaking out. Has anyone else gone through something like this? I know, I know, I really should go get checked out by a doctor, but... I’m thinking maybe that internal thing just tore and the blood kept leaking until it finally finished. :/

I really need some input on this whole swollen ankle situation. For instance, mine always blow up whenever I’m traveling—like when I’m hopping on a Greyhound bus for a weekend trip or heading down to the coast. If my legs stay stuck in one spot for too long, they just swell up. And honestly? It looks pretty gnarly; it's actually kind of scary to see. It takes a few days just to get my ankles back to looking normal again. My joints don't necessarily hurt, but there’s this intense tightness and fatigue in my legs that just won't quit. I've already had my kidneys checked out and everything is fine there. Also, during the summer when it gets hot, they tend to puff up a bit, so you can really see the difference between how they look in the morning versus the evening. But those long trips? That's when it gets brutal. Is it possible this is just crappy circulation, or am I just naturally prone to swelling?

I got mine at Benetton—they’re the real deal. I paid $130, which was over five hundred bucks, but honestly? Totally worth every cent. I'm obsessed.
