The radio said they'd be on by 2 PM, and everyone was hyping up Bitches Brew as the next big local thing. Just out of some sense of hometown pride, I decided to check them out. They pushed the set back to 3:30, so I ducked into a bar to kill some time. Turns out, they weren't even playing. I swung by Mother Teresa around 6:30, where I struggled through two sips of a Budweiser draft—honestly, calling that beer is an insult; it’s basically liquid evil. Then I sat through two tracks that were... let's just say "less painful" than the beer, mostly involving some guy singing about smoking his junk. Decided to wait for the Idiot at the pub with some Coors Light before heading home to crash for a bit. Fell asleep and just woke up now... The white coast isn't looking too strong from where I'm sitting....
Anyone want me to point them toward some good spots for a pre-show drink? Whether you're looking for a dive bar or just a chill patio, hit me up in my DMs. I’ll be hanging out in Small Town, USA all day (and night, and tomorrow morning... basically until I move away) 😬

Looks like you're throwing yourself out there on the market pretty generously...
Honestly, I’m a little worried nothing will happen since they're calling for rain all day Saturday... I don't really care much myself because once they scrapped the cooperative, the rest didn't grab my interest, but I’d still love to see it work out... purely out of local pride and just wanting to support the kid who actually put in the effort. It would be a shame if he totally flopped.

Honestly, all this flirting is just nonsense. Stresee hit the nail on the head when she said music doesn't really get people worked up. I don't get how anyone thinks music can be that provocative either... Since that Small town in the Midwest is just a chill, old-school pub without any live music, it's the perfect excuse for everyone to just grab a beer and relax without any drama. Let's all head out to that Small town in the Midwest—grab a Budweiser or whatever you call it (I know you'd probably struggle with the name anyway). 😬

I don't know why, but there's something about how blunt they are. It isn't some fake crap about romance. They basically embody the total rejection of romance; they'll talk about sex, or say something like "I prefer the hunt over the prey," or tell a girl she's hot even if she's not sophisticated. I can't remember every line, but it's honest. That's just how people actually act. I've never experienced that perfect, idealized love you hear about in certain songs (can't recall which ones right now since I'm not playing them). I also love B. B. King's stuff. He sings about money, wanting nothing but cash, or how he keeps hurting his wife because of his gambling addiction. It’s heavy and sad... not exactly "hype" like Motörhead's raw sexual energy, but it hits home because it feels real.
😲 🙏 Want to grab some stress-relief food with me in a Small town in the Midwest? 😬
