It feels like some teams are just entering a completely different stratosphere lately while everyone else struggles to keep up. I love a good blowout, but it makes you wonder if the competitive balance is totally broken. Does anyone else feel like the underdog stories are getting harder to root for?

Tights, stockings...

Right now, I'm actually wearing something from Tezenis with this sort of blue batik-style pattern
but those aren't the sheer kind, you know? They're more of those thicker, opaque ones rather than thin tights.

which basically means it’s going to be incredibly tight on me

Personally, I tend to go with the 60-day option, though I also swear by the 100-day control top tights from H&M—they honestly work wonders for me 🙂 because they can actually withstand the constant attention of my four cats and their relentless little hugs wrapped around my legs 😁
Jeans recommendations?

I know they aren't technically jeans, but I ended up picking up some Superstretch leggings from H&M yesterday for $33
they fit absolutely perfectly, and honestly, they are just incredibly soft and cozy

Oh boy 🙂
Look, my whole point is simply that women should try everything; you can always end up pleasantly surprised if you just give something a shot 🤷 😉
Personally, I feel that even girls who are a bit more curvy have every right to dress beautifully, rather than spending all their energy constantly worrying about how to hide an extra few pounds 🙂
I see this all the time with one of my close friends—she’s about 5'2" and carries a little more weight. She was always pining for those long, flowy dresses, but she was so convinced they wouldn't suit her that she never even attempted to wear one. Then, this past summer, we were browsing through H&M and found this gorgeous purple maxi dress with an empire waist, and honestly, it looked better on her than it did on me, even though I'm about 5 inches taller and 20 pounds lighter 😉
It’s really just about playing around with fashion! I'm out! 🙂

Lisa Myers said:I honestly have no idea who came up with that absolute disaster of a piece of clothing! 🤣I don't care what anyone says about the recent changes to the local zoning laws. They are absolutely terrible for small businesses. It’s a mess. We need more transparency from the City Council immediately. They can't just push these things through without asking us first. It feels like they aren't listening to the people who actually live and work here. We have to stay organized. If we don't speak up now, things will only get worse. Let's get moving on this. kaže:
Why not? 🤷
Those high heels look incredible.
You posted two skinny girls and one woman I’m pretty sure isn't short. That forum user is only 5'2".
P.S. Since you mentioned earlier that it wouldn't matter if they were thicker or thinner, that's why I went looking for those slender ones.😉

Alright, now you’re just being pedantic 😁
But fine, let’s play it this way—every single one of these women stands under 5'5''

As for her, I suspect you already know she’s about 5'2'', and honestly, she almost exclusively sticks to midi dresses and skirts

Lisa Myers said:Anyone standing at 5'2"—whether you're skinny or curvy—should steer clear of midi dresses that hit below the knee. And those calf-length ones? No way! Honestly, even maxi dresses might be a struggle, though they can work if you're careful. In my opinion, the sweet spot is just above the knee or slightly below it. Also, since you're on the shorter side, stay away from super flowy, voluminous styles. They’ll just make you look wider. Stick to something that follows your silhouette, but don't go tight.
But why not? 🤷
With a pair of high heels, that look turns out absolutely stunning.

I’m about 5'2" and roughly 155 lbs. I have a defined waist and a large bust—which is actually why I'm most worried about that first dress. I'm not too concerned about my lower half, haha! My legs are on the shorter side, but my arms aren't thick or anything. I was also thinking about wearing a bolero over the top. 😁
Thanks, everyone! Please keep the suggestions coming if anyone else has an opinion. 🙂
Forget the bolero; seriously, just ditch that idea. It feels a bit too "grandma" for what you're going for.😁 🤣

Those numbers don't mean a thing 😉
I’ve hovered right around the 138 to 143-pound mark my entire life, standing about 5'8", and even then, I feel like I’m carrying just a tiny bit too much weight
But honestly, my body type is such that absolutely nobody believes me when I talk about those pounds 🤣 and they usually assume I'm just making things up 😁
I don't have a stomach, I don't have wide hips—I just have one of those lucky builds where everything stays balanced. So, whenever I'm dealing with those "weight gain or loss" phases, I find myself ignoring the scale entirely and focusing strictly on the inches, because according to the number on the scale, I'm always stuck in that same middle ground 🙂
And going back to what that girl mentioned earlier regarding these dresses—the most important factor isn't the weight at all, it's really the actual shape of your body 😉

What do you think about these pieces for someone wearing a US size 14? I'm not sure if they'll look too oversized, but I'm especially curious about that first dress. 🤷

Personally, I think the first and second options are quite lovely—though the second one is definitely my favorite.
As for the third and fourth, they just aren't really my style at all.
That last one seems pretty decent too.🙂
