Honestly, neither do I. I guess it’s just easy for people who don't actually have any options to say, "Oh, I would never dream of doing that." But what I was trying to get at—and maybe I didn't phrase it right—is that there are certain people out there who actually *did* have a choice. For them, the stakes were way higher than just John's $$$ because, well, you can't put a price tag on a human life, right? And even then, they still chose to say no.

I really don't want to get all political here, I guess, but... there were people back in the early '90s who basically had a plane ticket and a full scholarship to study right here in the States waiting for them, and they just said NO and went straight to work at the first Department of Defense office they could find.
Maybe this whole thing is just some media hype or a total nothingburger, you know? If that's the case, then I really think we need to step up and have John's back. But man, if it turns out to be true—if they actually decide to go down that road—then I honestly don't think I can stay quiet about him anymore.
Look, there's a massive difference between the water quality they're testing at the municipal plant and what actually ends up coming out of our faucets at home. Personally, I just stick to drinking Fiji Water.

But you've got a point, maybe I didn't phrase things quite right, and I really am sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes there—that definitely wasn't my intention. I was mostly just being cautious because, well, I'm certainly no medical expert. I'm just glad Sam Gonzalez67 was able to jump in so quickly to clear things up.
Samuel Richardson, good luck! 👋
Oh, don't worry about it, everything is totally fine. Honestly, the main thing is just having 4Ev3R check back in with us later today to let us know everything turned out okay.
I’m totally jumping on board with everyone else here, hoping for some really good news regarding those test results. And honestly, if we’re looking at the statistics, things should actually turn out fine, because leukemia is just one of many different things that can cause white blood cell counts to spike. There are plenty of much less scary, way more common reasons for it too, which is actually a bit of a relief, I guess. So, yeah, I think we can all reasonably expect some happy updates tomorrow. Please, let us know as soon as you hear anything!
Oh, and one more thing. I was wondering, how can someone just coldly drop the word "leukemia" as a response to what the original poster asked? If you're going to jump in and answer a question like that, it would be nice to maybe put in a little more effort and actually use a few more words... and perhaps provide a bit more context (since, like I said, it’s definitely not the only possibility)...
