There is nothing more stressful than being in that weird middle ground with a sports team. You aren't a total underdog, but you aren't a locked-in powerhouse either. You’re just... hovering.

I remember back in my college days, I followed a local team that spent half the season hovering right around the .500 mark. Every single weekend was a mental tug-of-war. One day you're convinced they're a legitimate threat and you're ready to buy the playoff merch, and the next day a bad losing streak makes you want to swear off the sport entirely. It’s exhausting because you can't commit to the hype, but you can't quite give up hope either.

It feels like you're constantly weighing the risk of getting your hopes up too high versus the fear of missing out if they actually make a run. For me, the "buy" or "sell" decision usually comes down to whether the momentum feels earned or just lucky.

When you're following a team that's sitting right on the bubble, do you lean toward being an optimist, or do you wait until the math practically guarantees a spot before you start getting excited?

Is there any way to have this deleted after a certain amount of time? Also—and please, if you have any insights at all—I'm looking for just about any information regarding this ..🙂
