In case anyone’s looking, you can find them at the local bookstore over on Main Street; they go for about $30, $40, or $20. Honestly, neither I nor the clerk working there have any clue what the actual differences are. Mine, the $30 version, just finished its first round of use and performed perfectly. 😍
You guys are too kind. 😍
Thanks! 🙏
I'll take a look tomorrow and let you know what I find. 🙂
Help! Does anyone know where I can pick up one of those little machines that punches two holes in paper so you can file it in a binder? I don’t even know what the actual name is. A paper punch? A hole puncher? 🤔
I figured these would be everywhere, but I’ve checked a few local bookstores and they don't have them. Honestly, the staff just stared at me blankly (maybe because of my overly detailed description?), so I'm guessing they aren't exactly the target demographic there. Google keeps throwing nothing but wholesale distributors at me, Staples or Office Depot are way too far out of the way just to check stock, and nobody is responding to my emails... 😢
If anyone actually knows where I can find one, please let me know! 🙏
Edit: And roughly how much should I expect to pay? 😬
I assume you aren't talking about this specific kind of obstacle, but pedestrians wandering onto the bike path are driving me absolutely insane. I mean it! They just stroll along, often grouping up four or five people wide, making it impossible to pass on either side. And when I ring my bell? Good grief, the insults start flying—"why are you rushing?" or "use the street." Honestly! 😱
Even on the bike paths at Central Park 😠, even if you manage to find a window where the paths aren't swarmed by walkers, you never know when an elderly lady, a kid, or a dog is going to dart out in front of you. It’s ridiculous.
It’s no wonder I can't stay in shape when I can't even get a decent cardio workout in! 😬
On another note—and I feel a bit awkward starting a whole new thread for this—does anyone here with a cycling computer know exactly how long one loop around Golden Gate Park is? I just knocked out ten laps and I'm feeling pretty proud of myself! 😍
I know plenty of people who would have much rather been watching Alaska at that time. 🙄
Give me a break. You people have officially lost it! 😠
darkcanyon13 said:"Homesteaders"—it was mentioned right in the first episode; they’re the ones who founded the town. 😉 They called it Roslyn and Cicely (though Roslyn is actually just where they filmed the show, and it isn't in Alaska 😉 ).
placidotter102 said:I don't think that's what they meant. Later on, some homesteaders show up wanting to buy a house or land (I can't recall the exact details), and while Maurice resists at first, he ends up selling to them anyway. I believe there are a few more episodes featuring them, but I won't spoil too much for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

That's Ron and Eric. If I remember correctly, they show up toward the end of Season 5 running a bed and breakfast in Cicely...
Thanks, everyone. Yeah, I was thinking of those two, but since I watched this so long ago, I wasn't sure if they were from this series or something else... thanks again! 😘
Does anyone remember how that whole thing with the little guys played out? When exactly do they show up? 🤔
Here’s a new TV channel for the slot :2up: Obviously I couldn't sit through the whole thing, mostly because they kept badgering us with that garbage "Marriage Waters" segment and some idiotic game right before it. They can get lost. 😠
