I’m looking for some software for my webcam—back when I was running Windows Vista, I had the FaceID working just fine, but now that I’ve moved up to Windows 7 64-bit, it clearly isn't cooperating. I have no idea why it’s acting up. Does anyone happen to know of any similar software that won't break the bank? Something free would be ideal.

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up a decent little breathalyzer? Any leads would be appreciated.

That is why you actually need a DVD to perform a clean reinstallation of Windows (and which version are we even discussing?). 😉

Hmm... the laptop is an Acer aspire (7730) and it originally came with Vista pre-installed. I had the hard drive replaced at a repair shop, and they installed a fresh set of Windows (last week), but they didn't give me a DVD.

Is there really no way to reinstall them without that DVD, assuming they are currently running perfectly fine on the machine?! Can't I just somehow burn them onto a DVD myself?
So, my options are either to go out and buy original Windows from a store or just download something via torrent and pray to the gods that I don't end up with a virus... 🤷

I was wondering if there's still a way to trigger a fresh installation and wipe the C: drive using some specific key combination during the boot sequence. Since these aren't the factory-original Windows files that came pre-installed, I'm questioning whether they even exist on a hidden recovery partition anymore. If that's a dead end, is there any other viable method to perform a reinstall without having a physical CD on hand?
