If it’s just a small patch, applying Lamisil should do the trick. If it covers a larger area—especially if there's hair involved—you might want to try tracking it with a Ketoconazole shampoo...
The key is consistency. You'll need to apply the cream at least once a day and use the Ketoconazole wash for at least three weeks. I'd suggest using it daily during the first week, every other day during the second, and then moving to once a week as a precaution until you're absolutely certain both you and your pet are in the clear.😁 After all, if the animal is still carrying it, you can easily catch it all over again...
One more thing: almost all fungi thrive in damp environments. You really need to make sure you dry off thoroughly after a shower and toss your towel straight into the laundry on a hot cycle, maybe around 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
Generally speaking, boosting your immune system helps too—plenty of Vitamin C and those kinds of things.
Though, of course, how much it matters really depends on how severe your case is.

How long has this been going on?
You need a mycological analysis to confirm if it's actually a fungus and identify the specific strain.
