You can also add strikes to that, and it looks like this:

Essentially, ground fighting is what you see in the UFC when fighters hit the floor.
If that doesn't grab you, but you're interested in hand and foot striking, then Muay Thai or kickboxing might be more your style:

To start with, I don't want anything too extreme—those first three videos look pretty brutal, honestly.
I like both Muay Thai and kickboxing, though I'm leaning toward Muay Thai.
Is there something where I could focus on conditioning, bag work, and stuff like that first, before jumping into the more "advanced" techniques? It’s not like I’m in peak physical shape—though I was hitting the stationary bike twice 12 miles a day all summer and built up cardio fast—but I haven't done anything for over a month, so I've lost that edge. So, essentially, something for fitness and conditioning first, coordination, whatever comes first? A friend wants to join too, so having a partner for drills would be great—we're both starting from zero.
Anyway, just tell me straight—what kind of prices are we looking at? I'm a student; I can't exactly drop $250$100 a month, so I'd rather know now if I should even bother.😢
