I’m trying to figure out if there’s an actual BJJ gym in the greater New York City area where the coaches actually know their stuff—and I mean real specialists, not just some MMA guys who dabble in jiu-jitsu on the side because they aren't quite at the level required to teach it properly. Does anyone here know of a spot where we can be absolutely certain the instructors are legit, highly skilled, and properly certified? Look, I’m not too lazy to use Google, but I want the real deal based on your actual experiences. I’m looking to go all-in and become the best damn version of myself in this sport, so I don't want to waste my life at some mediocre gym that doesn't have the technical depth to get me there.
