Has there been any actual progress made on resolving this issue yet?

Is that actually the case here? If the owners are refusing to upgrade simply because they're being cheap, they should just set up a donation fund. Honestly, I'd be willing to chip in myself. 👍

I stumbled upon that fix by hitting F5.

But let's be real, that doesn't usually work.

I see people mentioning that they had to strip the "i." from the URL to get things working again, but nobody seems to have a clue why that’s necessary, nor have they found any official notice explaining this sudden mess.

Removing the "i." isn't doing anything for me.

I dug around and found this:

According to Imgur's TOS (imgur.com/tos), if someone else hotlinked pictures that violate TOS on this site before, Imgur will ban not just the pictures, but also the site itself in the future.

In my opinion, someone from the leadership at this forum needs to get in touch with Imgur immediately, assuming we actually believe this is a serious issue—which, frankly, I do.

Does anyone actually know the specific technical reason behind this, and has anyone even bothered to try reaching out to them yet?

Why on earth has this forum stopped displaying images hosted on Imgur lately? Does anyone actually have a clue what's causing this headache?
I honestly don't even know where to start with this mess, but here we go. kaže:
Man, I really hope they were just having an off night.

It’s entirely plausible, honestly, given that it was their very first show of the summer season.

And he absolutely crushed it at the memorial service, too! Honestly, his performance was nothing short of masterful.

Avenged Sevenfold? Honestly, they had a pretty underwhelming set over in Germany, which was such a letdown because I had really high hopes for them.👎

Since Homme has been showing up at their recent gigs, there's a decent chance they might roll through a major US city like Chicago soon.

Are we talking about booze and food? I honestly don't know; to me, that seems like a perfectly reasonable amount to spend.

Little scraps of paper get lost easily, especially when you're out in the middle of a festival environment. And besides, why even bother with a physical receipt? It’s not like the money wouldn't hit your bank account via credit card regardless.

And one more thing, totally unrelated to this specific argument—the more money you have, the less you have to sweat the small stuff.
Andrew Gomez40 said:And frankly, I have absolutely zero sympathy for the people who sent in their money via $167 only to end up losing half of it—there were plenty of folks whining about that exact same thing in previous years.

I have to admit, I’m completely lost on this one. Why on earth wouldn't someone just pay via $167, and why should it be considered acceptable to lose half your money in the process? 🤷
Andrew Gomez40 said:You just load some cash onto your card and swipe away. It’s a win-win situation, really—it makes things move faster for us, and they love it because it encourages more spending. Honestly, trying to dodge the system just eats up your own money 😁
The refund is guaranteed, provided you actually have the original receipt from the transaction.

I can't speak to how things work in NYC, but over at Sighet, the lines for refunds were absolutely massive, so I didn't exactly see the "smart" side of that strategy.

In Germany, though, you hand over five euros and get a beer right then and there—can you think of anything simpler? 😁

(1) A business practice is deemed misleading if it contains inaccurate information, rendering it untruthful, or if it otherwise—including through its overall presentation, even if the specific information provided is factually correct—misleads, or is likely to mislead an average consumer regarding any of the circumstances outlined in paragraph 2 of this section, thereby inducing, or likely to induce, a purchase decision that the consumer would not have otherwise made.

(2) The circumstances from paragraph 1 of this section to which a misleading business practice refers are:
4. the price of the product, the method by which it was calculated, or the existence of a specific benefit in relation to that price.

The real tragedy here is that most Americans tend to blame themselves when they get ripped off, which is exactly why these market players act with such blatant disregard for ethics.
If I go ahead and report them to the regulatory authorities, I’ll just end up having some judge explain to me how the fault lies entirely with my own poor judgment.

I actually feel a twinge of genuine pity for retailers sometimes, considering the absolute caliber of people they have to deal with on a daily basis... 👎
Andrew Gomez40 said:Of course, this is all just a subjective impression, but pure logic dictates that once people cross that 30-year mark, they stop being overly interesting to festival organizers. Or, to put it more accurately, festivals simply stop holding their interest. Concerts are a completely different beast altogether—that really depends on who is performing.

I actually attended my very first festival when I was already well over 30.😁
vividraven7 said:You know what the actual difference is between seeing The National versus Franz Ferdinand? Beyond the obvious fact that The National has been consistently grinding out new albums for the last fifteen years... The real distinction is that The National isn't just showing up on a wave of nostalgia; they’re touring because they actually have new material to promote.

It’s pretty clear you’re a huge fan of The National, which explains why you're championing them so hard. Personally, I find them to be the single most tedious band in the entire universe (though I’d love to catch Franz Ferdinand live, I somehow always manage to skip their sets, so unfortunately, that'll likely happen again this time too—fingers crossed they make another appearance soon! 😁 )

They did ask; there was an actual poll
