When I talk about "heavy" symptoms, I’m referring specifically to what I personally experienced during that period when everything felt completely out of sync. My cycle was totally unpredictable, my hormone levels were swinging wildly in every direction, and I had an excess of follicles which caused my ovarian volume to increase—which might actually be where that pain is coming from. Sometimes things just settle down on their own, but please tell me you haven't skipped seeing a doctor?
I just wrote this for you simply to show how things can be both everything and nothing all at once. How much do all these symptoms actually apply to us laypeople? Honestly, I feel like there’s little point in overanalyzing every single response here. At the end of the day, everyone’s body is its own unique ecosystem; even when two people walk in with the exact same diagnosis, they often deal with completely different struggles.
If you haven't made it to the doctor yet, please, take my word for it—you’ll likely do more harm to your current condition by spending all your time reading about symptoms online. Between the constant fear, the irritation, and the endless worrying, you're only making things worse. If there really is a hormonal imbalance at play here, that level of uncertainty and stress can be incredibly taxing on your system.
Isn't it much better to take just three minutes to look everything over so you can finally have some peace of mind?
I’ve come to the conclusion that you haven't actually seen a gynecologist before now, so I feel like I have the freedom to be completely honest with you:
Believe me, I find myself saying that far too often when I'm at the bar.😛 As a true veteran of these situations, I really believe it isn't worth letting anxiety get the best of you just because of laziness or that awkward feeling of having to leave. Honestly, once you finally pull the trigger and do it, you'll feel such an immense weight lift off your shoulders. You have a great recommendation in your hands, so just go for it.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be a huge relief... and I'm sure it isn't anything catastrophic, but I just haven't made it to the doctor yet. I feel fine right now; my period finally arrived and everything seems okay, I feel good... though I would still like to know what's actually happening in my body. I will go to the doctor, specifically the OBGYN... I just need to find the time... hopefully I can.
Thanks to everyone for the help and advice. 🙂

Jamie Johnson6 said:Based on what she described, this could actually be a more severe case of PCOS. Because of that, I’d suggest heading straight to a gynecologist.

Severe, you think? 😲

I guess I agree that could be the case. My periods occur every month—they might be a few days early or late, but they are regular. Aside from my fertile window and during my actual cycle, I don't usually experience any ovarian pain. Still, I'm not entirely sure; I probably should go see a gynecologist.😢

Jerry Lee14: I suppose I should mention that everything seems to be progressing as expected. It might be worth considering if any adjustments are necessary, though I don't have enough information to be certain just yet. Maybe we can revisit this later once more details emerge.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Recommendations are always welcome; I would be really grateful if you could share some... I’m currently registered with a gynecologist in Dug Sela, but is it possible to see someone else elsewhere? Or is that not allowed?
thanks+
So, when I originally signed up at the gynecologist's office, the doctor was female. But then she left, and a male gynecologist took her place instead... and naturally, I just didn't go back... I've heard that women can be a bit rougher than male gynecologists, does anyone know if there's any truth to that?
Polycystic ovaries, man... honestly, why does this kind of thing even happen?🤷
Yes, I suppose it could be that... gosh... tablets. There doesn't seem to be any other way, or anything more sensible, to do this without risking damage to my other organs with the pills
thanks
Hello!
I’m sure there are plenty of similar threads already, but I just can't seem to find an answer to my specific questions, so I was hoping you all might be able to help me out... thank you...
So, here is the situation:

I have always dealt with very painful periods—sometimes they are almost unbearable😢—and I haven't really been tracking my cycle closely. However, lately, the timing has been roughly 30, 32, 27, 33 days. Most notably, over the last two months, I’ve noticed a very dark (dark brown) clotted discharge right at the end of my period, along with dark brown blood. There was also a tiny bit of dark brown spotting about two days before my period started, but nothing significant. I’ve never had this kind of discharge before.
Also, having sex is painful if I lie on my back or if there is any sudden movement (I didn't have sex before marriage, so I thought maybe that could be a factor, but it hurts and stings every single time). Generally, when I'm on my period, it feels like my legs are going to fall off, so I take Advil; everything just aches. Sometimes my ovaries hurt during ovulation too... but what worries me most is this "chocolate-colored discharge" and the pain during intercourse...
If anyone has gone through something similar, please let me know. I haven't seen a gynecologist because I find it quite uncomfortable, though it feels like I won't have much of a choice soon... thank you.🙂
