From what I understand, you can still get pregnant outside of your typical fertile window because double ovulation is a thing. It isn't exactly common, but it does happen—sometimes the pituitary gland triggers a second ovulation on the other ovary about 6 to 10 days after the first one. You see it happen quite often during the summer when we're getting more sun exposure or even just when we're feeling particularly in love. 😉
Also, just a heads-up: for some women, ovulation can shift around quite easily. Even if there’s only one ovulation per month, it doesn't necessarily have to happen right in the middle of the cycle—it could land on day 20 instead. Everyone is different, I guess. But honestly, dealing with periods is just exhausting. It feels like we never get a moment of peace. 😢
I actually once asked my gynecologist if it’s okay to have sex during your period. I didn't exactly get a helpful answer, either—she just acted all disgusted, acting like it was some gross, bloody mess. Honestly, I was so embarrassed I wanted the ground to swallow me up. It's wild how you can find such odd characters working at a local university health clinic. 🙄
Because it's just plain terrible!
Honestly, how can anyone even consider having sex during a period? It’s the one time a woman is actually getting herself clean, and you guys can barely stand it. Plus, it’s just ridiculous that girls your age don't know the basic facts about this... I think this topic is better suited for teenagers.
My vaginal flora is totally out of whack, and I’ve really been paying for it...🙄 It just can't be right.
So, I’m checking in because my period started about two or three days ago. I wanted to ask if you felt any cramps before everything actually happened?... Personally, I think that might be why, since I was definitely feeling some aches during those days. Hopefully, it’s all fine, but I really think that’s what caused the pain.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'm talking about girls. This is my second time, and it’s hitting me so hard that I have to take pills and just stay in bed. Then it eventually lets up, but I get this pain traveling from my lower abdomen downwards—I can't tell if it's my uterus, ovaries, or what. I should be getting my period soon too, but this is just insane. On top of that, I haven't been able to have sex normally all week because of it. Does anyone know what's going on?
Is it possible that you're just sleeping in a room that's too hot?
It’s certainly possible. Thanks for such a positive response—it’s funny how things just work out sometimes...😁 👍
Did I start this thread about pill addiction? No... I don't think so... I just got my period, so it looks like HappyWorm isn't pregnant either🤣
And honestly, I already have quite a few things on my plate...
About a month ago, I came down with the flu. I was taking Tylenol, sometimes two pills a day—maybe 20 tablets in total. Now my period is a month late, and I read somewhere that the paracetamol in those pills (500 mg per tablet) might be the cause. I'm wondering if it's actually possible for those tablets to delay my cycle by a whole month? Usually, I deal with breast tenderness and irritability right before my period starts, which is pretty normal for me. On top of that, I can be a bit of a high-strung person at times. I'm 21 years old.
I'd really appreciate some help if anyone knows...
It says this: Paracetamol
Paracetamol can lower levels of gonadotropin and estradiol (a type of estrogen), which could potentially lead to menstrual irregularities.
