Sorry, I managed to find the answers myself. I gave the hospital a call and asked them to clarify the whole radiation thing and the procedure itself. It turns out the folks over at oncology gave me the wrong info. After an MSCT, I won't be radioactive or anything; that's only after a PET/CT scan. This heart stuff, the MSCT... it's pretty quick and painless, I guess.

So, thank God I’ve finally wrapped up my chemo treatments, but I still have some Megostat left over... I guess if anyone happens to be looking for it, I wouldn't mind sending it your way.

Back again, just in case anyone missed my previous posts. I’ve been dealing with ovarian cancer that spread to other organs, so they ended up removing my ovaries, fallopian tubes, appendix, uterus, lymph nodes, peritoneum, a section of my colon, and even had to scrape some parts of my liver. I’m supposed to start my first round of chemo pretty soon, and in the meantime, they sent me home with all these supplements: Megostat, Gatorade, extra strength Tylenol immune support at 750mg, plus some Immunoahcc capsules. I guess I'm just wondering if it's actually okay to take all this stuff before the chemo starts? I'm not really sure how bad it might be to mix everything together like this.
