Anyone have a solid recommendation for a good ophthalmologist in Cleveland?

I need a solid eye doctor in San Francisco—ideally someone I can see through Medicare!

I need some help here!
I'm looking to get a full cardiology checkup for an elderly family member in Cleveland. My primary care doctor mentioned that if we go through Medicare, our only options are at Sušak or the Thalassotherapy center in Santa Monica. I've heard the wait times there are averaging 5-6 months—we just don't have that kind of time. Does anyone know which private clinics in Cleveland handle this and what the typical costs look like?

Look, I get that there's a wait—I really do—but the whole process is just ridiculous. They won't even give me a date. Instead, I’m stuck playing this waiting game where they'll call me out of the blue, and then I have to play detective just to recognize their number so I can actually pick up. And don't even get me started on the tone they used when they broke the news to me... absolutely unprofessional.

I noticed people were talking about something similar on the forum, so I figured I’d start this thread—hopefully in the right spot. I’m trying to figure out if what happened to me today is just a freak occurrence or if this is just how things work around here now.

So, I called today to try and schedule a UTZ abdominal scan, and I basically got treated like a recruit in basic training. They told me to just leave my name and number, they'd put me on a waiting list, and then they'd call me when they have an opening—but warned me it wouldn't be within the one-month window before my referral from the primary care doctor expires. When I mentioned that I'm rarely home to pick up the phone, I got this blunt, dismissive response that I should just save their number and call them back myself. I honestly can't believe it! What do you guys think? Has anyone else dealt with this, or has your experience been even worse?😠
