Thanks so much for the kind words, lonehound18! Honestly, there’s a massive silver lining to being this little—the doctor actually mentioned that kids who deal with facial palsy later on can really struggle with their self-image because, let's be real, it’s not exactly pretty to look at. We went in to get the ear checked out, but everything came back totally clear. There's this thing where a tiny bone fragment in the ear can press against a nerve and trigger the palsy, but the doctors already ruled that out for my little one.

He didn't actually get any antibiotics—it was just some steroids—plus a massive amount of gummy candy since he’s way too tiny for an electric stim machine yet!
Even my guy can’t keep his eyes closed, so I’m stuck constantly using eye drops. They told me it’s actually a huge deal if that facial paralysis kicks back in—apparently, every time it happens, the recovery process just gets harder and harder to manage
Has anyone here dealt with facial palsy before?
My two-year-old was just diagnosed with it.
