Tyler Patel19 said:Man, seriously, this whole soap opera is still dragging on... honestly, you guys are picking at it more than some tabloid reporter camping out in front of Dolores Lambaša's house 😂

Welcome. Glad you could make it. 🙏

@Timothy Morgan38

It's a fifty-fifty split; some parts work, others don't.

First off, you can't compare forum dynamics to RL.
Because with the kind of nonsense happening in RL, someone would have already lost their mind.👍>

As for anyone else, why do you think an unregistered user can only read?
I can't trigger any chaos when people are looking for actual answers or advice, but instead, they get a bunch of old-timers talking about fuel economy in winter conditions—even though they've never seen the car in person, let alone owned one.👍

Maybe... but most likely, you are. You're thinking it, you just aren't articulating it correctly.

Timothy Morgan38 said:No, you've got me wrong...

Let me try to clarify... it isn't the same thing when a member with 5,000 posts gets provoked into losing it and lashes out, versus a member with only two posts doing the exact same thing. First off, it's not the same because a guy with two posts hasn't been around long enough for anything to provoke him that deeply (unless it's a personal insult). Second, there's a high chance in those cases that it's just an "old" forum regular who registered under a new nickname just so they could go to war with everyone without ruining their reputation...

In any case, I'm sticking to my guns: reputation is built through the quality of your posts and your tenure within a community. There isn't a single community out there—whether IRL or online—that can claim veteran members aren't in a better position than the newcomers... saying otherwise is just a fantasy...

Oh, is that how it works now?

So the guy just shows up and has to endure all this nonsense, while this other user, who's been lurking here 24/7 for five years, can just... what? Spit venom and vent bitterness whenever they feel like it?
🤣Go read yourself before you post. 🤣🤣🤣🙏

👍

Michael Lee4 said:None... I've never even been banned from a forum. If I actually messed up, I’d get the hint. Nobody ever had to spell out the rules ten times for me to figure out what's allowed and what isn't, or why.

But man, you have to realize you're constantly "messing up" even to this day!

The last thing I remember was that nasty attack directed at Frank Collins85 🤮
It was deleted the next day. If those moderator powers can do that, could you
bring that post back here to this thread?
Do you really think regular users get punished for stuff like that?

Well, there's a saying for people like you... but I think I'll just keep my mouth shut.

Just admit to Michael Lee4 that you're in the wrong; it doesn't cost you anything...

Michael Lee4 said:An example of what? Repeating myself a million times to someone who just refuses to listen? I’m not asking for much—just basic reading comprehension. Read the whole post instead of hyper-focusing on one single word like a broken record just because it offended your delicate ears. You're out here insulting me by barking about the same old nonsense without even bothering to read my explanations, even after I've laid them out clearly multiple times. And then you actually expect people to take you seriously or give you any respect on this forum? Please.

You completely missed the point. Yeah, I post some nonsense now and then because someone’s behavior pushes me to it—usually someone going off-topic or breaking the rules. I leave it up long enough for them to get the message and for everyone else to see it too. Once that's done, I delete it so the thread can actually get back on track. If I didn't do it this way, I'd just handle everything without making a scene.

1.I could list plenty more, but I'll just say you're arrogant and rude... why does that bother you when everyone already knows that's how you are? It's easy, though—like a beggar holding a stick, pointing out everyone else's business while ignoring your own.👍

2. Right... I could address that "later I clear it out" comment regarding regular users... but then again, those who get provoked by others in a discussion end up getting penalized too... right?
How many warnings have you racked up so far?

Anthony Lopez5 said:I have a fuzzy memory of that post too—can someone give me a quick rundown? Also, I'm wondering if Stinger apologized to Frank Collins85 publicly or via PM?

Publicly? I doubt it. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been a need to delete the post and hide what happened...

Hey, Anthony Lopez5!

Does it even matter who told whom?

Their little sadomasochistic nonsense didn't belong
in a "serious automotive discussion" anyway...

Timothy Morgan38 said:Yeah, man, but try seeing things from his perspective for a second... when you have to spend your entire day deleting and editing posts because of a stray image quote, or repeating the exact same thing a hundred times over... it gets incredibly irritating. It becomes exhausting...

And it's even worse when the same group of people keeps saying the same things constantly... at that point, even the stones would start crying...

Well, give his perspective a rest too... arrogant, rude... I can afford to be all that myself
and I'll take my punishment, but shouldn't he actually be setting an example?
My biggest gripe is when they post total chaos
only to show up the next day acting like nothing happened after deleting everything.🤣

He’s definitely not cut out for being a moderator, but if anyone can stomach him constantly preaching
that a Ford is the best value for your money just keep going.👍

coppernomad28 is clearly living in some movie fantasy; he found a workaround by bypassing this PF (honestly, the thread title caught my eye though 😁 )

Anyway... that's my two cents... bye bye
