If they had, it would have been a slap in the face to everyone peddling this tired narrative about hooliganism and fear... total nonsense...
Honestly, if you want my two cents... that whole moment with the children was the most powerful thing about yesterday. The atmosphere, the game itself, it was all incredible. I can't even find the words for the fans, but seeing that scene at halftime... it actually brought a tear to my eye, quite literally...👍
Maybe we should just treat "Big Boss" as a sort of rhetorical device... like saying America finally emerged from its slump on January 1st, 2015, to become an EU superpower... and by next year, a global one...

It’s just pure, unadulterated panic. My phone hasn't stopped ringing since this morning with people begging me to grab tickets for them. The hype is growing... faster than anyone expected... 👍
It isn't even just that... it's almost masochistic... that strange feeling where you know tickets are going to fly off the shelves and prices will skyrocket, yet you still sit there paralyzed by the fear of being left with nothing at all... ☕
I’m a little concerned we won't get those retractable stands set up... I’d hate to see people left out in the cold when interest is this massive, especially with all these new faces who might actually show up and get hooked on the game
In Karlovac, you’ve got neither Hearst Communications nor any of those currency exchanges that deal in pre-event transactions... absolutely zero stars... I’m heading out first thing tomorrow morning to scout the area again, maybe hit some of those other event centers too, just to see what's actually going on...
I find myself quite enjoying these endless debates and little skirmishes between the Bad Boys and the Red Army... arguing over who actually stepped up more against the mob... I’m half-expecting the fans from the Yankees, the Dodgers, and everyone else to finally jump into the fray soon, spurred on by all this chaos... if they actually decide to get involved instead of just sitting on the sidelines like they are now... though, in the end, the result will likely be the same... our side wins, of course, and then everything just slides right back to the way it was before...
"Then we'll just fight in the shadows"... back to playing the victim and leaning on the West again... as if we won't just end up shouting over each other inside the camp anyway, all while holding a cold Budweiser in hand...
And finally, someone should probably just announce that when the futsal matches happen, we should all head out together for some kind of spiritual reset... just to recharge our batteries...
Despite everything going well yesterday, someone really should have stepped up to address the crowd... just to read a statement or offer some explanation to us and the press. It would have given the whole situation a much more substantial and serious tone...
I’m just hoping that maybe, just maybe, some actual news outlets will pick this up tomorrow... give it some life on the portals and whatever else is out there (thank God for TV, at least)... This media blackout we've been stuck in since that horrific incident is nothing short of disgraceful. Two people shot right in the middle of the street and it's like absolutely nothing happened... Honestly, the state of American journalism leaves me speechless... I suppose the leadership of the group along with the ZSD are probably plotting how to spin this in the press, maybe making it look a bit more intense than it actually was...

Exactly... spot on... bravo. 👍It’s the same old routine... I’ll probably drain about half a liter in the morning over by the intersection of Broadway and 5th... attend some veteran's funeral... then catch the train... if I make it, I'll crawl my way over to 66th Street first, then cut under the expressway, then back to 66th again... if I actually make it home, fine... if not, well... they'll know when they see me... 😁

I play them here and there when I need a little lift... won't be posting them anywhere though. I don't have Facebook or any of those other distractions... my kids are all over that nonsense, but they're basically the same age as half the people on this forum anyway... if I broke some rules, I can just delete it and I won't bother filming anymore...
It's the exact same story with me... I even got mocked once, some smart-aleck telling me why us old guys are still filming things, saying it wasn't "old school" enough... my own family gave me a hard time about it...👍but when I think back, I've only got maybe three photos left from the 80s... so I suppose it pulls me toward wanting to preserve a few more things for the sake of memory... in any case, I just get caught up in the excitement of it, and besides, I'm keeping them all to myself...
I’ve sat through this footage a few times now... honestly, I just want to shove it right in the faces of those sheep who follow these hooligans around, teeth bared, wearing those masks and clutching clubs like they own the streets. You should show this to some old lady at a local farmer's market in Ohio... if you asked her to pick out the bad guys from this crowd, she wouldn't hesitate for a second. She’d point them all out immediately...
Just one of those mornings where you wake up and your head feels like it’s about to split wide open... total weakness in the limbs. You smell like a brewery and everything else too, if I'm being honest. Breathing feels heavy, yet somehow there's this strange bliss in my chest... a grin that just won't quit. I'm sitting here playing back the highlights in my mind, telling myself, "let's do this again soon, right now, as fast as possible".....there isn't a better gift you could ask for on New Year's Eve
