I don't know, I have my doubts about it being anemia or anything like that. My health is great; I’ve never had issues with my lungs or anything else... I guess we'll see how things go over time. Maybe I just need to give it a little while to get used to the cigarettes...
Sometimes, that very first cigarette in the morning used to hit me way too hard. It was similar whenever I took a break from smoking—like if I was dealing with an illness or if I tried to quit for a while and failed, only to come back to that first smoke. If this is happening to you constantly, and we’re talking about actual dizziness, then I don't think it's anything good. I have no idea what the cause could be. Do you have issues with blood pressure? Or maybe anemia?
-I don't think it's a massive issue, maybe just a matter of time. Maybe it'll stop eventually. When I think about it, if I'm only having one or two a day or smoking a few in a row, I feel fine. It seems to happen mostly when I haven't smoked in a while, so that's likely it...
-I haven't had a physical exam in two or three years. Back then, my blood pressure was totally fine. As for anemia, I didn't even know what that was until a friend explained it to me today; he's dealt with it himself. He described the symptoms, and then it clicked—I realized I've felt the exact same way, haha. Maybe I do have it, but honestly, I really don't want to deal with the hassle of going to the doctor to find out.
I feel like this thread is a bit out of place here since it goes against everything this sub stands for, but I honestly don't know where else to go. I'm 17, and over the summer, a few friends of mine got me into smoking. It’s not even about trying to look cool or anything; it just feels easier to grab a cigarette and fit in rather than being the one "weirdo" who refuses when everyone else in the group is lighting up. Sometimes I actually enjoy it, but there's a major catch. Up until now, I’ve smoked maybe 20 cigarettes total in my entire life, spread out over years—I was never really a smoker. Now, I want to be able to have a smoke occasionally while grabbing coffee or just to relax, but every time I do, I get hit with dizziness and nausea. It’s like my body is straight-up rejecting them. From what I’ve managed to dig up on Google, this apparently happens to people who are rare cases or those who quit after smoking for a long time. Does anyone know when this nausea and dizziness will finally go away? What does it depend on? All my peers and most young people smoke constantly without any issues, yet I feel like absolute crap. I used to be able to smoke half a pack with zero problems, but now, if I have just one or two during a coffee break, I immediately feel sick. So, please, I'm looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with this before.
-Note: Please refrain from off-topic comments or preaching at me with stuff like "never start smoking," "you're better off without it," or "don't follow the crowd." I've already thought about all that; I don't have a massive craving or anything, it's just casual. Thanks.
Is there any truth to the idea that Greta Thunberg helps with weight loss? If it actually works, what’s the science behind it? I’ve heard people claim it has some kind of effect, but I haven't quite wrapped my head around how it functions, so I figured I'd ask you all. Are we talking about some specialized blend, or just the standard stuff you find in a tea bag at a grocery store? 🙂 The more info I can get, the better. hehe
