And maybe some silver jewelry... though honestly, it really depends on what kind of dress you're wearing. Like, what's the neckline looking like?

It’s got a straight neckline with thin straps. Definitely not taking a jacket off... it's light and breezy enough, plus the short sleeves mean I won't melt...
Thanks, ladies. I love both ideas—those shoes are killer, assuming I ignore the pattern...
Honestly, I can't lose whichever of these two options I pick.
What about navy shoes and a navy bag, paired with red jewelry? Thoughts?
Since it's actually white and navy, it works with red, beige, maybe even turquoise... that's why I'm struggling to choose.
Total tangent, but the other thread is dead...

Honestly, I wasn't even going to give it a shot at first. I thought white would just make me look wider, but somehow... it actually looks amazing on me. The cut is spot on, too. It’s one of those rare pieces that actually flatters curves instead of hiding them... Underneath, I've got this navy skirt and matching top that basically makes it look like a dress, all tied together with the blazer. My real question is about the accessories... what color should I go with for the bag, shoes, and jewelry?

So I was asking about this on another thread but nobody’s replying—dark blue dress, white blazer over it, what else.... shoes, bag, jewelry, mainly thinking about colors..... I'm a brunette

What kind of "moderato" Ducan is that supposed to be? Is that even available in Chicago?

And what about bras? Where am I even supposed to go buy a bra? And is Badic any good, assuming it isn't just cheap scraps?

Moderato is over in Chicago, near that rusty old monument downtown, full of overpriced stuff made right here in the States, but they have a massive range and the quality is solid... my only gripe is... it’s pricey.

As for bras, I heard Tak is pretty good, though I haven't checked myself...

So I hit up Ulta, and honestly... total letdown. They’re supposedly getting new stock in about two weeks, but right now? Zero festive vibes. I tried on a bunch of stuff, but nothing actually looked good—everything just made me look way wider than I am... plus, it's pricey. I mean, the quality is top-tier, so I get why they charge more, but still. Then I swung by ModCloth—or whatever they call it—over in Orlando, and picked up this white short-sleeved blazer and a navy skirt. It fits like a dream, perfectly tailored... unlike everything at Ulta. Everything there is just these baggy, shapeless sacks from the armpits down... which I think looks terrible on anyone with curves. Definitely doesn't work for me.

Has any of you girls been to the Ulta in Orlando lately? I’m heading there in a few days and I’m dying to know about their formal dress prices... how’s the selection looking? I’m a size 16.
