I look like this in tight dresses too. I’m just saying, my hips are a bit narrower, and honestly, I can't tell if Kim actually has a stomach or not. She doesn't really, but I definitely do—though it's not huge right now! 😁 I just meant our body shapes are similar, let me not overcomplicate things. 🤣
I've decided the second one wouldn't really suit me, so I'm passing on that. I'm not big on showing off my chest or my hips. The first one is lovely, but I'm unsure how it'll look with my bust. As for the last one, it's nice, but it doesn't come in black. 😢
I won't post my own photo, but in a tight dress, I look something like this. The build is similar, though I'm definitely no celebrity—I'm just plain chubby. 😁 The only difference is my hips are a bit narrower than hers.

I’m not really a fan of long dresses; they just don't do much for me. I think mini dresses that hit just above the knee look best since my legs aren't particularly thick. My main struggle is definitely balancing out my curves, specifically my bust and hips. 😁 I know the style you're talking about—the kind that skims the body rather than hugging it tight—but those are pretty hard to find, and honestly, they usually feel a bit too formal for my taste.
To be honest, I'm less worried about the bottom half and more concerned about the top. I really don't want my chest to look massive (I'm an 85 D/E).
I know it's all just guessing, but at least now you have an idea of my build, so maybe you can give me some advice on these dresses! 😁
I’m about 5'2" and roughly 155 lbs. I have a defined waist and a large bust—which is actually why I'm most worried about that first dress. I'm not too concerned about my lower half, haha! My legs are on the shorter side, but my arms aren't thick or anything. I was also thinking about wearing a bolero over the top. 😁
Thanks, everyone! Please keep the suggestions coming if anyone else has an opinion. 🙂
I struggle with my hips and having a bit of a larger backside; it’s just how my body changed after gaining some weight. 😁 I tried on some old pants again to test things out, but I’ll definitely be following all those tips when I shop online. I think I'll stick to ASOS—their selection is honestly the best. 🙂
thanks!
nimbleheron47 said:Go with a size 14 or 16 on ASOS—though honestly, 16 is probably safer. I have pretty similar measurements myself—when you're looking at skirts where the hips are the main thing and the waist is just a formality, you can usually get away with a 14 if the cut is right—but yeah, maybe aim for that 16. these skirts—), so you're probably looking at 14—roughly speaking, anyway. Just be a little careful with the things that don't stretch—not sure how that works for the 14-inch model. 🤷).
I agree! You're probably a 14–16 on top, but if it were me, I'd definitely grab an 18 for the bottom just to be safe, haha 😁

It usually ends up being a 16, thanks! 🙂
I see someone posted their measurements hoping to finally figure out their size 😁 so now I’m curious too! What would my UK size be on ASOS? My measurements are 105-82-112
