UFC 230: Nate Diaz vs. Dustin Poirier in Martial Arts & Combat Sports ·
I’ve got a feeling Francis Ngannou is just showing up to collect a paycheck and get out of there without taking too much damage.

I don't know—this whole matchup feels forced, especially since the guy fought only 30 days ago.

That’s why the Jacare - Weidman fight was actually worth watching.
Lately, the heavyweight division has been a total bore—there's just way more intensity in these lighter weight classes.

Anyway, what’s your take on the new cast for True Detective? I was scrolling through that thread and saw you had some thoughts there, so I figured I'd just ask you directly. 🙂
I mean, Colin Farrell is fine, but I'm so used to seeing Vince in those goofy comedies—though, hey, maybe we finally get a new McConaughey type. 😁

That was my exact thought regarding McConaughey—always stuck in those shallow comedies—but his performance in True Detective? Absolutely blew me away. He was brilliant.

I haven't actually seen Dallas Buyers Club yet, though I really should. That Oscar was clearly well-deserved. Perhaps Vince could pull off something similar.

It seems they finally realized—too late, perhaps—that churning out this mindless filler is alienating the very fans who built them from the ground up. Even the general public isn't biting anymore.

Personally, everything after *The Outsider* felt hollow. That album was the turning point—they went mainstream, becoming that kind of band that sells out 7,000-seat arenas without breaking a sweat—but then they just... diluted themselves. *The Grievance* was a dud, and this latest one—the one about Esotericism or whatever—is an absolute disaster.

I’m just holding out hope for a return to a much heavier sound.

Personally, everything after their *Rage Against the Machine* era felt hollow. That moment was the turning point—they went mainstream, a band capable of selling out Madison Square Garden without breaking a sweat—but then they just lost their edge. *The Book of Grievances* was a dud, and this latest track—the one by that Esoteric girl, I think?—is an absolute disaster.

I’m holding out hope for a return to a much heavier sound.
