Peterborough United vs. Watford Over 2.5 goals @ 1.77
Look, the home side is actually efficient—they're putting balls in the net even though they're sitting right at the bottom of the table... which is weird, I guess.
They've been playing pretty damn well lately.
Watford isn't exactly firing on all cylinders either, but they’re still the most lethal squad when it comes to tearing it up on the road.
Basically, both teams play high-octane stuff, usually averaging well over three goals per match.
Since both sides are basically fighting for their lives today—either winning or grabbing points to survive—I’m expecting a total shootout from both ends.
Check out the last four times United hosted Watford, it was always a goal fest:
04.21.12, Peterborough - Watford 2 : 2
12.19.09, Peterborough - Watford 2 : 1
03.04.97, Peterborough - Watford 2 : 1
04.05.94, Peterborough - Watford 3 : 4
The home squad is mostly healthy, though Jack Payne is looking questionable.
Watford is dealing with some holes in the defense:
Fitz Hall (Jan 21), Nyron Nosworthy (Jan 19), Tommie Hoban (Jan 19), and Neuton (Jan 8).
On the bright side, they get keeper Almunia back, plus midfielder Jonathan Hogg and defender Matthew Briggs.
Wolverhampton vs. Huddersfield Both Teams to Score @ 1.72
This is a massive, high-stakes game for both these clubs because they're sharing the exact same grim fate... they're both hovering dangerously close to relegation.
Let me just say right out of the gate, the home side is absolutely gutted regarding their roster, so honestly, this specific bet feels like the smartest move.
You have to go for the win, but when you're dealing with injuries PLUS that kind of pressure... man, those are brutal circumstances.
Wolves are missing:
Keeper Carl Ikeme, plus midfielders David Edwards, David Davis, and Bakary Sako.
They don't even have striker Ebanks-Blake available.
And defenders Doherty and Foley are doubtful.
So yeah, Saunders is having a nightmare trying to put a lineup together today.
The visitors have fewer issues.
Southeren is still out long-term, they won't have midfielder Daniel Ward today, and defender Anthony Gerrard is a question mark.
Both teams—especially Wolves at home—absolutely have to win regardless of anything else. Every single game matters now, especially this one against a direct rival.
Then again, the away side has a golden opportunity to exploit how broken the home defense is...
Because of that, I'm expecting "Both Teams to Score" at the very least.
If the visitors don't score or grab something here, they're basically toast, and the home side desperately needs to hunt down points at home.
In their first meeting this season, Huddersfield walked away with a 2-1 win at home.
Everton vs. QPR Over 2.5 goals @ 1.76
If QPR hasn't already dropped down to the Championship, it’ll most likely happen today.
Both sides are desperate for points, which is why my favorite way to play these kinds of matches is to just sit back and wait for the goals to fly in.
Everton is rock solid at home, and they've got a shot at Europa League contention—maybe even a crack at Champions League if teams like Arsenal or Tottenham slip up.
For instance, last round they snatched two points against a direct UCL rival, so a win against a weak QPR side today could really boost their momentum if things click.
Hibbert is out for Everton, but they get Fellaini and Pienaar back.
As for QPR, they'll be without Zamore, S. Wright-Phillips, and Traoré.
Everton is playing for the win, while the visitors have nothing left to gain or protect—they just have to try and cling to whatever scraps of hope they have left in the relegation fight.
I'm expecting an wide-open game with plenty of action.
If nothing else, Everton might just run away with it late in the game and bury them with two or three goals of their own.
QPR has been involved in high-scoring affairs lately, and the reason for that is obvious, so I'm expecting more goals today too.
