Greetings to everyone,

I happened to stumble upon a fix for the Dell Flip Lock on an American tech forum yesterday, and I must say, it actually works...

The discussion there details a solution for a similar model, the HP Envy Laptop, yet the logic seems perfectly applicable to both devices...

For those interested in the procedure, here is what I undertook:
1. I installed the "Keyboard Driver Utility," though I am somewhat uncertain if this step is strictly mandatory...
2. Within the Programs and Features menu, I proceeded to uninstall the Dell Flip Lock.
3. Ensure that your hidden folders are set to visible, if they aren't already...
4. I navigated to C:\ Users\\AppData\Roaming and manually deleted the Dell Flip folder...
5. Finally, I installed the Dell FlipLock VER103 via this link: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/..._64_VER103.zip

Everything is functioning precisely as intended: once you hinge the screen beyond approximately 190°, the keyboard and touchpad automatically disable, while the display rotates in accordance with the tablet's orientation...
Greetings,

About a month ago, I picked up a Microsoft Surface Pro, specifically the 13.3" HP Pavilion Laptop model, and proceeded to install Windows 8.1 Pro x64 along with the Dell Flip Lock... which is supposed to disable the keyboard and touchpad whenever the screen hinges past 190 degrees. However, the keyboard and touchpad simply refuse to shut off when they should. While the screen rotation between portrait and landscape mode functions, it often fails to trigger automatically, forcing me to manually run an executable from the Dell Flip Lock folder just to get things moving...

All drivers have been installed, and I have even attempted to troubleshoot by testing three different versions of the Dell Flip Lock downloaded directly from the official manufacturer site.

Does anyone else happen to own this specific laptop-tablet combo? I am struggling to understand where the breakdown is occurring...

I would appreciate any assistance you could offer. Should anyone else be facing a different issue with this otherwise excellent device, I would be more than happy to lend my expertise, provided I am capable of solving it...
