Spielberg really hit his stride here, and Tom Hanks too... As a huge movie buff, I genuinely loved it. But honestly? Mark Rylance’s performance as that Russian spy was the absolute standout for me—I'm thrilled he's up for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Though, if I'm being honest, I was rooting for Tom Hardy to take home an award this year since he practically carries "The Returnee"... and maybe a part of me is still a bit salty that Mad Max: Fury Road didn't snag Best Picture... but that's a whole other conversation. Anyway, after catching Bridge of Spies this past Sunday, I'm firmly pulling for Mark to grab that golden statue.
