alright, thanks.

Something like this

So, can I just plug this directly into the wall outlet? If I try to use it with a power strip, it won't actually work, right?

So, tell me—is the Wi-Fi actually hitting the same speeds as a hardwired LAN connection? And how’s it holding up when you’re gaming? Does it kick you off the server mid-match?

It doesn't strictly have to be a hardwired connection for the laptop—that can just stick to the Wi-Fi—but I'd love to get that laptop on a wired connection too, without having to actually move it from where it sits, if you catch my drift.

Hey everyone, I’m not sure if there’s already a thread for this kind of thing—if there is, feel free to move this.
So, here's the deal: I need to get my PC on a wired connection, but I’m looking at needing about 25 or 30 feet of cable. The issue is, I don't exactly want to run a long cord right down the middle of the hallway. My phone setup is out in the hall while the computer is tucked away in the bedroom, so I'm wondering if there’s a way to get both devices hooked up to the router at once without having to drag the PC or the router across the house. Can I just plug the computer into some kind of secondary hub or mini-router, or am I stuck running a cable all the way down the hall? Also, I'm totally lost on the whole "Cat" thing with Ethernet cables—what does that actually mean, and which specific one should I be looking for? If anyone's dealt with this setup before, let me know. Thanks!

So, Larry Ortiz5 actually listened to me and did a clean install of Windows, and everything was running smooth as silk—until the blue screens started coming back. Only this time, it looks like it's some driver-related nonsense https://www.flickr.com/photos/135737...posted-public/ — here’s the BSOD data

Look, I already cleared out some space using a utility and ran a repair—so what’s the actual issue here? Who wants to go through the hassle of reinstalling Windows all over again? It hasn't even been a month since I set it up, not to mention the nightmare of having to reinstall every single program I use.

Alright, I got it fixed—seems fine for now, though I’ll have to reinstall the language pack again. It's also throwing a notification at me saying I need to activate Windows within the next nine days. On top of that, I'm dealing with some weirdness with Windows Explorer; after a while, I get a "Windows Explorer has stopped working" error, the whole PC freezes for a few seconds, and then everything just goes back to normal.

So, I grabbed Wizard Partition and managed to squeeze an extra 10GB out of my C drive just to test the waters—it actually works. Now I’m gonna bump it up by another 50GB so I'm sitting pretty at 100GB total. Once that's done, I'll run a Windows repair and get back to you guys.👍

Why drop cash on an original Windows license? Plus, I totally screwed up by leaving such tiny space on my C drive—should've gone with at least 150GB, but whatever, mistakes happen. My best bet is probably just doing a Windows upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I'm just wondering, though—will all my stuff, like games and certain programs, actually stay put?

what do you mean by shaken up?

Nah man, it’s just not working. Every single time I try to restart, I get hit with "the operation has been aborted." I had a feeling this was gonna be a bust, but hey, I figured I'd give it a shot since it's supposed to be "commercial grade" software. Honestly? Total garbage.👎

well, it doesn't actually say which OS it's for anywhere.

Yeah. I’m pretty sure this only works if you're running the original version.
I mean, I've looked at it like six times now.

http://prntscr.com/8464vp—so I’m trying to expand this by 9GB, but for some reason, it just shows up right in front of the partition instead. Why's it doing that?
EDIT: actually, whatever, it's working—you go to add more space, hit merge, it asks for a reboot, and then after the restart, it's back to square one.😵

So, does this mean all my games and apps are getting wiped out? And where am I supposed to move all my data to?
Plus, I’ve only had these Windows installed for maybe four weeks.

Even that didn't do squat.

It’s happening again—that annoying "The following issues are preventing Windows from upgrading..." message popped up out of nowhere.
Apparently, there isn't enough room on my C: drive. It says I need 11,464 MB of free space to move forward. It's telling me to
Try disk Cleanup or just shove some files onto a thumb drive or an external hard drive before trying the install again.
The thing is, I already cleared out some system restore points and I've only got 6.24 GB of space left.

Larry Ortiz5 said:You might want to try clearing out your system restore points—it’s pretty likely they've just been hogging up a ton of your disk space lately..

Where do I even find that?

The thing is, I don't have enough space left on my C drive, so this whole process won't even work for me.👎
