Pre-season hype vs. reality in Fans ·
Is it just me, or do we always fall for these "unstoppable" summer signings during exhibition matches? It's easy to look like a superstar when the defenders are just getting their fitness back. Does anyone actually trust these stats once the real season kicks off?

Harold Davis6 said:How many investigations have actually been launched and how many indictments have been handed down for corruption and theft against Republicans, versus everyone else?

Even if you could somehow argue that these indictments actually mean something—which, let's be real, they don't in a country like this—the bottom line is that the Republican Party has most of its people sitting in local government seats. And honestly, if you aren't in a position of power, you can't even get a chance to steal anything.

There’s a reason why people in California call the Local Reform Party "the Republican Party of California."

Look, I’m not saying everyone needs to be forgiven, but let's be real for a second—it feels like every single instance of corruption or shady dealings is tied directly back to the Republican Party. It’s just basic math at this point. Since the Republicans are the ones holding all the cards and running the show most of the time, they naturally have the most opportunities to pull this kind of crap. When you hold all that power, you end up owning all the mess that comes with it.

If you want to claim that’s the only reason, then just look at how the Local Reform Party in California is basically neck-and-neck with the Republican Party when it comes to shady dealings. It’s pretty simple math—they’ve been running the show for thirty years straight. At this point, we might as well start calling the California Republicans the gold standard for honesty, right?

I mean, we all know exactly how the biggest, most high-and-mighty social democrat in the USA interprets the whole idea of an "allowance for living separately." It's a joke.

The whole "left" side of the aisle? Honestly, it’s nothing but a bunch of Dalai Lamas.

Harold Davis6 said:And there’s the argument right there.🤦
Once they start running things the Republican way, everyone starts chanting the same old mantra: "They're all the same, they're all stealing, they're all just filling their pockets."
Well, newsflash—they aren't the same. You only have to look at how much damage certain pests actually do versus those who contribute nothing at all. It’s pretty obvious who sits at the top of the leaderboard when it comes to being a total drain on society.

That isn't even an argument, it's just a straight-up fact. People love to act like it's just the Republicans who are like this while pretending everyone else is the complete opposite.
If you're going to slap labels on people, then do it properly instead of just picking and choosing when it suits you.

Yeah, right, because all those little cronies carrying Democratic Party or Liberal Party IDs are just a bunch of hardworking, polite, well-behaved young guys and girls.

Mortal Kombat I didn't catch what was being said there—it looks like the message got cut off. If you were trying to share a thought or a quote, feel free to drop it again. I'm all ears.
I'm not exactly sitting here claiming that the folks over at the Republican Party are doing anything special to look out for those people.

So, what's the bottom line here? What are we actually getting at?

I'm with you on that.
It’s honestly wild when you step back and look at the big picture. We’ve had this entire criminal organization running the show for six years now, and they’ve managed to install both current and former ministers who are now being hauled in by the European prosecutor. Every single one of them is tied back to that same corrupt circle. On top of all that, we have the President basically dragging our national reputation through the mud, completely undermining any prestige we actually managed to build up. It's just exhausting to watch.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the final version actually shakes out and whether it ends up being as positive as everyone hopes.
This victory feels about as meaningful as when your wife tells you that you’ve got the biggest tool in town. Sure, you might have the big tool, but the rest of the neighborhood has already had their way with her. That’s exactly what’s happening here—they're just waving a cookie in front of you, promising you a treat if you play nice and let them walk all over you for another four years.
This is exactly what Biden is getting at—it’s basically a slap in the face to everyone down here from that German butt. Honestly, I could have seen this coming a long time ago, but it feels like they went out of their way to make sure you guys get pushed around for another four years. It’s frustrating having to deal with someone you didn't even choose as your own representative just because someone else decided they should be in charge.

And honestly, you can point the finger straight at Donald Trump for that one too.

It’s funny how some people just need a boss to tell them what to do, and then they immediately start following along like sheep.

If that's how it works, then why are you all working so damn hard to spin it as "no big deal"? Why are you trying to claim this insult to the people is actually Biden's fault instead of Trump's?

hollowmason64 said:Honestly, calling it garbage makes sense given how he decided to step in. For months, he just sat there doing absolutely nothing, acting like he didn't care, and then suddenly, right after the election results come in—boom—he's talking about changing the election laws.
That tells me he knows the current system is broken. If he knew it was broken, why on earth did he let everyone get screwed over by those rules in the first place? Now we're stuck looking at another four years of the same mess for the people over there... for what reason?

So yeah, Biden is technically right on both counts—that Hochstein’s statement proves things can be changed, and that they could have been changed all along. And that the whole situation is just a mess.
I honestly don't see the point of this move.
Since you seem to know exactly who's responsible and who's been working behind the scenes, tell me—what's the actual logic behind this play?

Look, the High Commissioner doesn't need to say a word for us to know it "can" be done. We already know exactly what kind of authority these officials hold, so we've known for 27 years that they have the power.
I don't need to sit here and explain the technical purpose of this move to you; you already get it.
And yeah, obviously it sucks that he waited until now instead of doing it a year ago, but that doesn't change the fact that this move is actually a win for Canadian Americans.
To me, this feels like that old story about boiling a frog—back in the summer when those lunatics were out protesting in Washington, D.C., that was like throwing the frog straight into boiling water; you couldn't warn them they were being tossed into a pot. This right now? This is just warm water. Eventually, it'll lead to the important stuff—stopping the ability to elect illegitimate representatives for Canadian Americans.

The bottom line is that you guys are giving Biden credit for "nothing," according to his own words. If this really was nothing, then you'd be better off sticking to Joe's narrative—that this was nothing and Donald Trump is "responsible" for nothing. Honestly, you're insulting Biden by claiming he's responsible for "nothing."
Joe Biden, President of the United States vol. V in Political Scene ·
So now Biden is coming out swinging at the Republican Party, calling that whole Hochstein decree total garbage.
I mean, what's the deal? Is Biden actually taking credit for this or not? From what I can see, he’s dodging any "credit" for the move and pinning it all on the administration because he thinks the actual legal changes are a mess.

Yet, you've got people in these threads trying to give Biden the "glory" for it. It's kind of a weird contradiction if you think about it.

Adam Collins4 said:You're totally right—I'm sure that Bernie Sanders guy, who just bleats like a sheep and barely knows how to string a sentence together, is definitely more to blame...

Nothing happened to the rule of law or that whole traitorous Republican Party/KG circus...that's just a fact...

Once the White House moved in, the narrative shifted...no matter how much the Republican bots and the mindless followers of their leader blather on here—without a single shred of actual evidence...

Your betrayals are well-documented...

Not even close. It was Plenković first.
Don't tell me you actually think Schmidt got spooked by Zuck and that's why he signed off on those amendments.
Joe Biden, President of the United States vol. V in Political Scene ·
Adam Collins4 said:The Republican Party was perfectly happy maintaining the status quo for Canadian Americans until Biden showed up with his "unfiltered" style...

It wasn't until he stepped in that things actually shifted, even if it was just on paper... suddenly, all these Republicans are drooling over "quiet diplomacy"—the same kind of quiet diplomacy that did absolutely nothing for Canadian Americans during the years of betrayal under the previous Republican/KGH leadership.

And since their playbook hasn't changed one bit...

It’s the classic move: Republican bots start attacking Biden for being too cozy with Dodik, yet they stay dead silent when their own party goes against sanctions for Dodik... yeah, that’s their version of "quiet" diplomacy for you.

Just because two things happen at the same time doesn't mean one caused the other.
Just because these changes happened right after Zoran started going off on Schulz doesn't mean there's a direct link.
Sure, diplomacy probably had more to do with these changes, and we all know Zoran and diplomacy are about as compatible as oil and water.

He can bark all he wants. Let him bark, but claiming his shouting matches actually influence anything (especially stuff happening outside the US) is just plain stupid.
Joe Biden, President of the United States vol. V in Political Scene ·
Look, I’ve got nothing against how Joe Biden handles things, honestly, some people actually need that kind of attitude shoved in their faces.
But claiming these amendments happened just because of something Biden said? That’s beyond ridiculous, it’s actually kind of laughable.
