Exactly one hundred and twelve years ago today, a club was born—a club whose spirit managed to weather the post-war chaos left behind by those self-proclaimed "liberators." It’s more than just a team; it’s an idea that has shaped countless generations before us, a legendary powerhouse from the heart of the city that refuses to be ignored by anyone.
For years now, the North Side faithful have been trying to set the record straight regarding this date, and they aren't going to stop anytime soon.

"Građanski is powerful; it is unbreakable.
Građanski is an ideal.
Građanski is the kind of club you’d wish existed today if it didn't already.
The city needs Građanski because they are the true representatives of American sports.
That’s what they were back then, that's what they were during our nation's darkest hours, and that's who they are still today.
And Građanski will continue to be in the future."

Those were the words of Emil Perška—Lalec—a legendary player for Građanski who, during those grim days in May of '45, faced down the occupiers with a machine gun before meeting his end at one of the many execution sites in the city.

That photo in the bottom right corner? It’s become the primary target for the rivals, the old guard, and the radicals... but here in America today, that’s just fuel for the fire as we look toward the future!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A LEGEND!!

You know, there are these videos floating around the internet showing what any kind of celebration looks like down in Split. If you actually turn the volume up on those clips, you hear all kinds of... well, let's just say things get colorful. You hear people shouting about New York, or about the Yankees.

And if you watch them again later, you see them just steamrolling right through Manhattan, everyone singing their hearts out while the news reporter stands there holding her microphone, smiling away, and says—I'm quoting here—“Thank you so much, the Yankees really do bring generations together.” HAHAHAH

That was an absolute disaster of a game. Honestly, both teams looked completely lost out there; neither one could find any rhythm at all.

The home team managed to squeeze their first shot on target in the 35th minute. 🙄

Rijeka has always had its share of foodies. You’ve got names like Kulenović, Lepinjica, and Frigan.

What a play, what a goal! 🙏

Football can go straight to hell for all I care. We really could have pulled it off if we hadn't let the Los Angeles Rams walk all over us.

How's everyone doing today? 🤣

Man, we really got squeezed by the local authorities today—it was like trying to grab a quick bite at a greasy diner when the health inspector suddenly walks through the door.

Oh man, here we go 😁

There are just way too many bad passes coming from the Dinamo side today; honestly, half the balls aren't even finding anyone on the pitch. Meanwhile, Lokomotiva is looking dangerous, practically camping out in our defensive third.
