MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
Terry Howard7 said:Look, I mean, sure—it’s fine to roll out the red carpet for the national team, but doing it for these clubs? Not so much. 🙏 🙏

We basically have the exact same mindset as those die-hard hooligans—I mean, we gave our junior squad a hero's welcome right after they choked in the finals, which was... questionable. But when you throw a parade for the senior national team just because they got knocked out in the round of 16? That's a whole different level of delusion. That's the national team, for crying out loud. 🙏 🙏

Are you really pretending you don't see the difference just to avoid admitting you're all acting the same...🤣

The demons of mediocrity always try to mirror the image and status of their idols, quite beautifully 😍 🤣 🤣

Terry Howard7 said:I don't know how the current juniors are doing, but I mean, obviously comparing the EuroLeague or the World Cup to some random youth tournament isn't exactly apples-to-apples, just like you said.

Something like this? Getting knocked out early, the empty airport greeting...

So, do Americans basically have the same mentality as those hardcore Yankees fans or what?

One is the national team, the other is club ball, no matter how hard you try to spin it...😁

It’s obvious you share the same fan values, so I figured I should make sure this doesn't go unnoticed...👍

Terry Howard7 said:Are you talking about this, or what?

Yeah, it’s easily comparable to that junior tournament nobody even knew existed two months ago...🤣
You and those hardcore fans have the exact same mentality. It’s nothing new...👍

The basketball fans are celebrating the loss... feels like I've seen this exact scene before 🙏 🤣

Frank Nguyen37 said:You can tell someone’s on edge just by how they resort to childish insults and hysterical laughing—it's a dead giveaway. Honestly, Kal-El, what part of this isn't clicking for you? It’s pretty simple: you guys are just being overly cautious to stay in the good graces of the establishment. Is that really so hard to grasp?😒

It isn't easy for you either... 🤣
Whatever happens, happens... 🙂

Frank Nguyen37 said:If you really think I'm gay just because you're rocking an 11 cm tool, then—well—you’re definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you? Give my best to your buddies over at the local precinct. Honestly, your little "official" club only ever saw any real success back when that absolute joke of a leader was running the show.👍

I hope Brižan isn't reading this; otherwise, you might want to stay hydrated for a while longer... you're looking quite tense already... 😢
Is she serious... 🤣
ruggedowl13, honestly, yours is looking more like a second-grade level effort... 🤣

Charles Ramos4 said:And I guess you aren't being delusional or useless when you mock our history by calling us a "regime club," or when you constantly try to diminish our wins by grouping us with teams that served a political agenda? And now, to top it off, you have the nerve to act like only certain types of people could possibly write such nonsense about an American club. Did you miss something here?

Give my regards to Dr. Ivy and Mr. Nathan 👍

Say hello to the guy... 👍

Yes, we understand each other perfectly 👍...

Aaron Sanders3 said:You're just venting aimlessly, and frankly, you're being unnecessarily agitated over nothing.

Not at all...
I am simply stating my perspective.
If you find it impressive when every random passerby claims to be a fan, by all means, enjoy that. For me, seeing a solid 5,000 at our home stadium and a few hundred traveling from the local area for away games is more than enough...👍

hollowtinker33 said:No matter how much you hate the club, I wouldn't wish being stuck in a place like Rijeka on anyone.
You aren't even fit to step foot in a stadium like Grobnik.

I appreciate the compliment. If I'm failing to meet your standards, it means I'm actually doing quite a lot of things right...👍

Aaron Sanders3 said:Look, you guys fill your own stadium, and honestly, credit where credit is due—that's impressive. But you aren't filling everyone else's. There aren't any bans or restrictions on attendance when we travel to away games compared to when the big-name clubs come to town.

Why on earth should we care about other teams' stadiums?
We aren't some traveling circus or a government-funded spectacle meant to attract desperate crowds who couldn't even find Split on a map if their lives depended on it.
We are Rijeka. Being loyal to this city and this club is a privilege in itself...☕

ruggedowl13 said:Did you catch that robbery?
First off, Hajduk goes on a total cleaning spree—three red cards in one go—basically kicking Livaja right out of the game at their home stadium. Then, just a few days later, they get lucky with some questionable penalty call that knocks Slaven out of the Cup and hands them a spot in the European quarterfinals. And don't even get me started on how they missed that blatant penalty for Gorica... or that sketchy penalty given to Istra during the Osijek match just to slow them down. Now we have this mess from last night...

It’s just unbelievable at this point. I swear, there isn't a single refereeing decision in Major League Soccer that hasn't somehow swung in favor of FC Cincinnati—it’s getting ridiculous. It feels like the league officials are out there in peak form, just picking favorites left and right...

This is some third-grade level trolling...🤣 🤣

John Fowler2 said:I just caught the highlights... What exactly is the debate regarding the officiating here?

Both yellows/reds were spot on, and that penalty was legit too.

Nothing, the Southern administration just has a particular grudge against us, so they project their biases...🙂

nimbleviper3 said:Soccer used to be an actual sport, at least until the Bosman ruling—or the law, if you want to be technical—took over.
After that, it just turned into a high-end money laundering machine.

You’re missing the point entirely, for the hundredth time now...🙂

I can't be bothered to dig up a GIF of Tom Delie, but I doubt he'd agree with your premise either...🙂

nimbleviper3 said:And honestly, you can't say anything smarter than that, because there simply isn't an answer to his question.

Where is the actual sport in any of this? 🤣

Larry Scott3 said:I wonder how many pages will be filled with outrage over that uncalled penalty...
Oops, I completely forgot that you can just rob the Lakers and the refs won't call a penalty on them... if they had called a marginal one, maybe not even a hundred percent clear like they did in the playoffs, there would already be a million posts here... where are Zvonimir, Nicole Jackson3, Anthony Sanders95, and the leader of the pack, Los Patetikos...

kmeee

You could have easily scored five goals instead of whining about this here... ☕

Nancy Sanchez31 said:It was the exact same thing when those kids were jumping off the pier into the water—suddenly every little activist group pops up claiming we're shaming San Diego or whatever.
Screw them too, I guess.

Just to be clear, I’m not some hardcore hooligan and I wouldn't get into a brawl over a sports logo, but the people acting tough until they actually take a hit and then crying about it... it's a bit much.

Which media figures are we talking about? Those guys on the news? Why do they assume they speak for every single fan out there? Just because they have a microphone doesn't mean everyone else shares their headspace.
That guy Prodanovic acted like a total coward; his whole career depends on it, so he just ends up backpedaling.

It's because people like that hold sway over your mindless crowd. Just look at the reactions here—how many guys folded immediately. It's absurd...
If by "livelihood" you mean money, then no, that isn't it...

Samuel Lopez9 said:Look, it’s not even about whether Prlja was making excuses or just trying to set the record straight now that he sees how much those idiots took a simple joke way too seriously. There isn't a shred of hate in those lyrics... honestly. It's just that once the loudmouth morons start screaming, everything spirals out of control...
Then you're stuck having to explain to these warmongering fools that what normal people see as a bit of banter, they somehow interpret as some deep-seated insult.

this 👍
