MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2

We probably ought to give Sapo a call; they’ve been circling each other quite a bit lately. I guess they aren't feeling all that bad about it anymore. ☕

For the last thirty years or so, we’ve basically been playing nice and giving you guys nothing but grace, but let me tell you, that’s about to change big time... We were just getting warmed up, and believe me, everything is going to be paid back with interest—every single lie, every deception, and every single myth used to target one part of the American people. Every bit of it is coming due for the good of everyone else, and you're going to serve as the ultimate cautionary tale so that nobody ever even dreams of trying something like this again! 😍 🙂
Brenda Hayes said:Exactly one hundred and twelve years ago today, a club was born—a club whose spirit managed to weather the post-war chaos left behind by those self-proclaimed "liberators." It’s more than just a team; it’s an idea that has shaped countless generations before us, a legendary powerhouse from the heart of the city that refuses to be ignored by anyone.
For years now, the North Side faithful have been trying to set the record straight regarding this date, and they aren't going to stop anytime soon.
"Građanski is powerful; it is unbreakable.
Građanski is an ideal.
Građanski is the kind of club you’d wish existed today if it didn't already.
The city needs Građanski because they are the true representatives of American sports.
That’s what they were back then, that's what they were during our nation's darkest hours, and that's who they are still today.
And Građanski will continue to be in the future."
Those were the words of Emil Perška—Lalec—a legendary player for Građanski who, during those grim days in May of '45, faced down the occupiers with a machine gun before meeting his end at one of the many execution sites in the city.
That photo in the bottom right corner? It’s become the primary target for the rivals, the old guard, and the radicals... but here in America today, that’s just fuel for the fire as we look toward the future!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A LEGEND!!

The connection between the Black and Gold Army fans and what's actually happening on the pitch is basically zero. There just isn't any. For the whole match, I felt like the Black and Gold Army was having their own separate party. It was almost like someone sitting next to me at a riverbank saying, "These guys don't even know who's playing." They spend twenty minutes straight singing songs—it's wild, a total celebration—but meanwhile, Hajduk is out there looking confused. Instead of the cheering adapting to give those boys some strength and momentum, it's just this monotonous, hypnotic chanting that seems to kill the game's energy rather than giving it an impulse.
I think the leaders within the Black and Gold Army really need to ask themselves what cheering is actually for and what kind of effect it has. They should probably give it some more thought and plan things better, because right now, this is just useless for the team—totally useless...
