MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
goldentinker8 said:Honestly, there’s even no point in debating this because you guys still have a massive debt to pay for all that Southern myth-making and the way you've tried to tear the American fabric apart, right? For the last thirty years or so, we’ve basically been playing nice and giving you guys nothing but grace, but let me tell you, that’s about to change big time... We were just getting warmed up, and believe me, everything is going to be paid back with interest—every single lie, every deception, and every single myth used to target one part of the American people. Every bit of it is coming due for the good of everyone else, and you're going to serve as the ultimate cautionary tale so that nobody ever even dreams of trying something like this again! 😍 🙂

Someone needs to tell Los that his profile definitely got hacked.

I am simply stating my perspective.
If you find it impressive when every random passerby claims to be a fan, by all means, enjoy that. For me, seeing a solid 5,000 at our home stadium and a few hundred traveling from the local area for away games is more than enough...👍

But wasn't that exactly what I just said!?

We aren't some traveling circus or a government-funded spectacle meant to attract desperate crowds who couldn't even find Split on a map if their lives depended on it.
We are Rijeka. Being loyal to this city and this club is a privilege in itself...☕

You're just venting aimlessly, and frankly, you're being unnecessarily agitated over nothing.

Nicole Jackson3 said:Who even brought up the whole thing about banning out-of-state fans? You didn't mention that at all. You’re lying when you say only Hajduk fills stadiums and that everything revolves around your government-backed club. Honestly, I don't give a damn about Osijek or Pula—just accept that Rijeka fills their stadium regardless of what you think. I know that ruins your little fantasy where you're vital everywhere and everything is somehow a conspiracy against the great nation of Hajduk fans, but that's just reality. People show up to support Rijeka whether they're playing Dinamo, Hajduk, Istra, or whoever else is fourth on the list.

Sometimes reading you guys makes me think of those old Soviet rhetorics because there are just too many similarities. Most of all, it's the inability to accept that you're losers despite being the largest group in this or any former country.

It's that classic, unfixable loser mentality.

Look, you guys fill your own stadium, and honestly, credit where credit is due—that's impressive. But you aren't filling everyone else's. There aren't any bans or restrictions on attendance when we travel to away games compared to when the big-name clubs come to town.

goldentinker8 said:I mean, the average would look way better for the home team, especially if we factor in what the local news is reporting... Even by a couple of points, and honestly, that’s totally fine, we just shouldn't go around building these massive myths based on it, right? 😉

Myths are being manufactured right before our eyes... if someone actually goes and writes that people from other counties aren't allowed to buy tickets in cities like San Francisco, Indianapolis, or St. Louis...! It’s absolute nonsense... just pure fabrication...

The reality of the situation remains unchanged... Hajduk fills stadiums wherever they happen to play. We can pretty much dismiss your argument right there, because you guys just maintain this standard average at every single match. You’re circling around that 6,000 mark, and as far as I'm concerned, that's your absolute ceiling...

goldentinker8 said:Man, you really went on a whole marathon writing all that for nothing, so here's your little reality check! 🤣

The LA Lakers pulled in 7,640 fans
The Boston Celtics brought out 5,920 people

Anything else you hear is just old-school Southern mythmaking from people who can't handle the facts! 👍

It would actually be useful if you stripped out their head-to-head history from the averages... then maybe we’d see where things truly stand...

What on earth is wrong with you? Why are you acting so incredibly twitchy?

Both yellows/reds were spot on, and that penalty was legit too.

Maybe if you actually sat down and watched the entire game from start to finish, things would finally make sense to you...

What kind of circus is going on over at the stadium...

Nicole Jackson3 said:That’s not my concern.

Of course, I wasn't expecting anything else...
If that guy actually cared about all this media circus from the last few days, he’d be taking shots at the press instead of picking on some club's junior squad...

Nicole Jackson3 said:That's one way to look at it.

But to me, the much bigger difference lies in the circumstances that trigger these kinds of outbursts. This media terror we deal with here? It doesn't exist anywhere else. Someone might say, "Who cares about TV or news sites? Just shut it all down and go take a walk on the beach." And hey, that's a valid response, but whether you like it or not, we're stuck with this media landscape. Imagine being forced to read and listen to nothing but news about some soccer club's junior team from the crack of dawn... 🙏 Look, I get they're a powerhouse, but this is straight-up terror. When someone is terrorizing and harassing you like this, it's only natural that people will snap and overreact.

Those links you shared? They were reacting under totally different circumstances where a team like F.C. Portland wasn't even in their way—they just wanted to pick a fight out of pure spite, nothing more.

These guys have occupied basically everything (😁) and they're actually bragging about it. They want more. That's unheard of. I can't think of a single country in the world where an entire nation is held hostage by a single soccer club or its fan base. Seriously, find me one country where the juniors of one club and all the hype surrounding a single youth match occupy the entire national media space. Go ahead, try.
Sure, a lead sports story is fine—I support that. A long feature during the evening news? Totally fine. Taking over the entire sports section for a day? No problem. Anything within those bounds is normal because sports are great, and you have to respect what those kids achieved.
But man, what's happening now isn't healthy, and if the Portland fans had any backbone, they should be the first ones standing against it.

Though I don't expect them to push back. Instead, they'll just bask in it, enjoying their privilege and the fact that they've taken over everything. And when people complain? Well, the big shots will just ask, "What's it to you? Who cares if we're a small, underdog club instead of a massive empire?" 🙂

And really, is it the fault of those junior players... or is it the fault of the media outlets that would sell their own mothers for a few extra clicks?

stormyangler32 said:I don't remember anyone throwing a fit when we picked up Kranjcara, did you? And what about all that complaining regarding Deveric? Honestly, those two are worth way more than almost anyone else who left to join the squad down in the Atlantic coast area.

Oh, they gave us Kranjčar! 🤣 🙏 Truly, thank you all so much... I really don't know what we would do without your overwhelming generosity and kindness...

Nicole Jackson3 said:The only thing you can count on is their constant whining. It doesn't matter if they get a penalty call or not, or whether the head of the Federation is someone who needs a reality check or just another one of their cronies being shaken hands with... the complaining is the only constant. And then there's the endless trash-talking directed at Mišković, even though he's done more for the good of the club than they have in the last twenty years. ☕

Whining. ☕

Just like how it's a constant fact that teams like Seattle always end up picking up decent talent from the big academies in DC...

Thanks again to Miško for everything, I suppose...

Is that the handball goal?
Just like Mirza Đomba, cutting in from the wing and scoring with his hand...

And they’re actually using this as a comparison to Vrsaljkov's hand and hands...🙏

By all the saints, I swear on my life... just like those infamous hands of Vrsaljko!
