Snoring issues in Health ·
I’m honestly not sure if this actually works, but I did hear someone mention a little trick involving laying down on a bed of about a dozen metal spoons. The idea is that the sensation of those spoons against your back forces a sleeper to roll onto their side during the night. Apparently, once you aren't sleeping flat on your back, the snoring stops. If your roommate is being skeptical about whether you’re actually snoring, just record it on your phone and play the clip back for her.
St. John's Wort oil in Health ·
My mother actually makes her own St. John's Wort oil using high-quality, locally sourced olive oil. She uses it topically on the skin quite frequently. She first started this practice back when my father was bedridden for about a month; thanks to the consistent application of that St. John's Wort oil, he managed to avoid developing any pressure sores or skin breakdown during that entire period.
General discussion on allergies in Health ·
I had my third tonsil removed when I was sixteen years old. For years leading up to that, I dealt with constant lung infections, bouts of bronchitis, and endless colds, yet nobody ever had the foresight to realize I was actually dealing with allergies. My tonsils—all three of them—never gave me any trouble until I hit sixteen. That’s when they swelled up so drastically over a mere two-month span that I felt like I was literally choking. To make matters worse, the doctors performed the surgery using nothing but local anesthesia while I was sitting upright. Honestly, that’s just absurd. It was a long time ago, and I sincerely hope medical standards have moved past such questionable practices. While I did feel some relief immediately following the surgery, it wasn't until I turned twenty that I was finally given a proper diagnosis: allergies and chronic sinusitis. Now, I live right by the coast.
