Look, that's a bit like mentioning pizza to a starving Ethiopian who has never even seen a slice. I haven't the slightest clue what "Spunk" actually is—is it a living being? An intelligent entity? Food? A concept? A band? Some sort of adult novelty? Do be a dear and provide some actual context. 😬

Personally, I find them quite compelling—perhaps even one of the better bands operating in the scene today. I’ve always been drawn to that interplay between male and female vocals in their tracks; there is a certain texture there. Yet, even after repeated listens, I can't shake the nagging suspicion that they haven't quite reached their full potential. Their sound sits in this strange space of alternative country-rock, though if we are being honest, it leans much more toward a somber, gothic pop aesthetic. The production quality is impeccable, ranging from heavy guitar and bass layers to sweeping arrangements featuring synth organs, piano, and nearly fully orchestrated compositions. There is a pervasive, dark atmosphere to their music that is truly striking. They are certainly an intriguing outfit, to say the least.
What are your thoughts on them?
Welcome to the Hotel California in Music ·
I am frankly exhausted by the endless obsession with Hotel California. Don't get me wrong, it’s a masterpiece, but I’ve grown weary of watching the same tired discussions circle the drain year after year... it’s always either Hotel California or Zeppelin’s Hotel California. Honestly, the repetition is more grating than a broken record. As for Hotel California, isn't it essentially just a song about some woman? That's the gist of it, really.
I fail to see any logical reason why Americans should be barred from donating blood! Perhaps some fool harbors a superstitious fear that by receiving blood from an American, they might somehow transform into one ourselves. Personally, I wouldn't object to such a transformation if it were via American blood. In fact, it might be quite desirable, as I could finally find myself a perfectly normal partner! 😈
Hair washing tips? in Health ·
I don't even bother showering on a weekly basis, let alone washing my hair every single day. But when I finally do commit to a shower, it becomes quite the production—and naturally, there’s always music playing in the bathroom... either Oh my darling or My Heart Will Go On sung by some high-pitched castrato 🙂

Does anyone else among you esteemed forum members remember seeing an advertisement, or perhaps a public service announcement on PBS, about a year or two ago? It suggested that if you *don't* want to donate your organs after death, you actually have to sign some sort of legal agreement.
As illogical as it sounds, I cannot shake the feeling that I saw that commercial multiple times. If my heart and my reason are serving me correctly, I would love to find even a few people who recall seeing such an announcement.🙂

Regardless of whether you are "crazy," you saw it clearly enough.
And if you ask me, I would recommend that everyone go out and sign those opt-out papers immediately, right alongside me. We shouldn't be handing over our organs so easily. Have we not realized by now that such policies can become breeding grounds for criminality and even murder at the hands of medical professionals?
I don't need to lecture you on the existence of organ trafficking. Consider this scenario: suppose you are struck by a car, and then a doctor intentionally lets you slip away in the hospital simply because you failed to sign a document refusing organ donation, all so they can sell your parts to someone else.
I am not suggesting that all doctors are thieves, but one should never assume that such criminals don't exist within the system.
Don't give anyone your organs... sign those refusal forms immediately so you aren't handing over your insides to anyone!
I would be lying if I said "yes," because this blatant disregard for everyone else's preferences usually surfaces during musical discussions; you see it most clearly when someone starts trashing your favorite band or artist, and at that point, things can get heated quite quickly.
Personally, I don't subscribe to that tired old cliché that "taste is subjective." There is objectively good music, bad music, and everything in between, and we are always going to debate where they fall on that spectrum.
Of course, every brain perceives sound differently, which explains why our tastes diverge. A lot of it comes down to a listener's hearing, their mindset, and their inherent leanings toward certain genres. However, there are fundamental boundaries that shouldn't be crossed—for instance, some mediocre country track simply cannot be superior to Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, nor could anyone reasonably claim Severina's heel is better than the breathtaking Moon River by Henry Mancini. That is precisely why claiming everything is merely a matter of taste is foolish; it isn't. Whether a song is actually good or not depends on a multitude of factors, just not on "taste." I would argue that taste is more about an individual's inclination toward specific styles. If one person prefers three repetitive tones and a rhythmic techno beat while another seeks the complexity of classical music, that difference often stems from auditory development and the psychological stages of maturation we undergo as we grow and refine our understanding of sound.
So, as you can see, given my perspective, would I even be capable of respecting anyone's taste other than my own? 😈
