Dealing with nummular eczema/dermatitis? in Health ·
analogbison13 said:RAST is basically just testing for specific IgE levels for certain allergens through a blood draw. They grade the results on a scale ranging from negative all the way up to highly positive. You usually get those results on the same report as your total IgE—at least that’s how they handle it here at St.

Thank you so much! I am going to go ahead and get those tests scheduled, though I must admit my dermatologist was quite discouraging, telling me not to hold my breath too much when it comes to actually pinpointing the exact culprit... 🙂
Dealing with nummular eczema/dermatitis? in Health ·
Greetings to everyone!

I have been struggling with this stubborn eczema on my hands for five years now... and finally, just yesterday, I received a definitive diagnosis: *Dermatitis eczematoides nummularis in obs Athopio*.
My doctor suggested that my condition might actually be linked to some kind of respiratory allergy... though, truth be told, I don't typically have issues with pollen or trees, except perhaps for poplar, even though I was fully expecting the culprit to be something else entirely given my work environment (working in a lab, dealing with various chemicals and quite a lot of dust). I was prescribed some Belogent and KMnO4, along with a referral for IgE and RAST testing.
Now, I know the IgE involves a blood draw... but what exactly does the RAST test entail? On a side note, my thyroid levels are fine; I actually went in to have my hormones checked about two months ago because of PCOS.
Bicornuate uterus (heart-shaped uterus) in Women's Health ·
Greetings,
I don't actually have a standard uterus, but rather a unicorn uterus—specifically, I have one quite substantial horn situated on the right side..
My doctor just informed me that it isn't "that" serious and reassured me that I shouldn't face any major hurdles when it comes to conceiving or carrying a pregnancy.. Has anyone else here had any personal experiences navigating pregnancy with a single horn?
