Dealing with static electricity shocks? in Health ·
I’ve basically turned "pranking" my coworkers into a full-time job. But here’s the kicker: I make sure they take all the heat. Like, I’ll just mess with a power strip or some outlet and go, "Whoa, did you feel that jolt?" and suddenly everyone thinks they’re the ones causing the short circuit. Or my favorite move involves a Hershey bar. I’ll offer a piece to a coworker, but I wrap it in enough foil so that when they grab for it, they get a little static shock. They jump, and I just look at them like they’re losing it.😁 It's pure electricity! It's running through my veins... la-la-la

Larry Castillo66 said:Look, this is all subjective, right? What I love might be a total waste of time for someone else. Honestly, comparing half of those cities to Vienna is just ridiculous. Take Chicago, for example—I live here. Some people are obsessed with this place, but to me, it’s nothing special. I’m not about those massive, overcrowded nightclubs where everyone just gets trashed. And those cramped holes you go to just to watch American football? Not my scene at all. Sure, there are decent spots with good music, like some killer jazz clubs, but I draw the line at paying more than $10 for a beer, which is pretty much the baseline now. I spent some time living in Berlin and I actually loved it. Berlin never sleeps and there's something for everyone. I also lived near Cologne for a bit and headed there all the time. It’s a real metropolis. Cologne rules. Amsterdam is top tier, too. I especially dug Luxembourg; that place really hits my vibe. Back in '91, I started college at the University of Chicago, but that didn't last long. I don't know what Washington, D.C. is like these days, but back then, I preferred Vienna. But when you weigh it all up, if I had to pick where to spend tonight and tomorrow, I’d choose Vienna every single time. I can find everything I want there—restaurants, cafes, clubs, walks, the opera, museums—and at the end of the day, it's a city where I just feel comfortable because everything fits my taste perfectly.

I'll give you all that, but please don't tell me it's the most beautiful city in the world. I'm a little surprised you can even put something in a "most beautiful in the world" category, especially since you've traveled enough to know that nothing is truly the "most beautiful." I guess I'm just a little allergic to those "best in the world" claims.

And a little bit of Canadian for you. If someone tells you, "THE DEVIL IS WATCHING YOU!" — that's not exactly a compliment. There, a little bit of swearing in Canadian for ya.

Larry Castillo66 said:Austin absolutely rules. It’s easily the most beautiful city on the planet. The nightlife kicks more ass than anywhere else. Old Austin is just stunning and has this romantic vibe. Plus, the whole city is packed with gorgeous spots, whether you're looking for culture or nature.

Good grief!!!!!!!!! What on earth are you calling the most beautiful city in the world????????? Half the cities in America are better looking than Austin.
Don't get me wrong, I love popping over to Austin, but calling it the most beautiful city in the world??????????? There is literally nothing there... Have you even stepped foot in any other place, anywhere else in the world? Start with Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Miami, Charleston, Key West, Indianapolis, Savannah, or Columbus.... then branch out a bit to Vienna, Salzburg, Venice, Zurich, Lucerne, Amsterdam, Budapest, Krakow, or Prague... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. And you're sitting there calling that little town—the most beautiful city in the world!!!!

And regarding the local dialect, they have this slang in Austin that's basically a mashup of the local tongue and English. For example, "volkati"—which means to stroll... Honestly, it might be harder to wrap your head around than the actual language.

Does anyone actually know what a "kerentusa" is?

Their alphabet only has 26 letters. They don't even bother with those extra accented characters, just one version of the letter C.
It’s all super basic. They have this whole thing with singular, dual, and plural nouns, but honestly? It's total garbage. You can get tripped up on American grammar incredibly easily if you aren't careful.
