I honestly don't get why all these Hollywood actresses wait until they're forty-five to show any skin. They weren't interested when they were young and actually looked great, but now that nobody cares, they decide it's finally time to show off their bodies just to grab some attention.

If it wasn't for the explicit scenes involving Meg Ryan, I don't think a single soul would have sat through that incredibly slow movie...

He's only in those shots where Catwoman is flying through the air at supersonic speeds. At that velocity, you aren't seeing much of anything anyway. Besides, everyone is looking at Halle Berry when she's actually standing still on the ground. 😁

Most movies use stuntmen for those types of sequences, so this wasn't really a surprise. What actually strikes me is that they didn't just use CGI for it, like they do for Spider-Man these days.

An absolute gem of a movie! To be honest, I didn't truly appreciate its value until my second viewing. The first time I went to see it in theaters, I was there with my girlfriend, who actually dumped me right in the middle of the film. It was impossible to focus on the screen, and the whole experience left me with a pretty sour memory. Once I finally got my head straight and watched it again on DVD, I realized just how great it really is. 👍

The character development is top-notch, and John Cusack delivers a flawless performance (I've actually read the book, too)!

I found *Monster* to be a pretty heavy watch, but what really rubbed me the wrong way was how much the movie seemed to be making excuses for her behavior. I get it—she had a horrific childhood and went through some serious trauma. But that doesn't justify murder, period. That specific angle really grated on me, and honestly, it kept me from enjoying the film at all.

On top of that, the amount of makeup they put on Charlize was just overkill. It felt excessive. Why didn't they just cast someone who didn't need such an intense transformation? It would have saved them a lot of hassle in the makeup chair...
