Is it just me, or does the period right before training camp actually feel more chaotic than the season itself? I feel like every time I refresh the news, there's some new shuffle happening. It’s never just a straight line from one roster to the next; it’s a constant stream of "who's in, who's out, and who's suddenly sidelined."
I remember a few years back, I spent an entire summer following a specific team, thinking we finally had the depth we needed, only to have three key guys hit various lists or get cut right as the preseason started. It’s frustrating because you start building these mental models of how the team will look, and then reality just hits you with a bunch of "unforeseen circumstances."
It makes you wonder how much of the preseason is actual preparation versus just managing a revolving door of personnel. Do you guys think these early moves are usually strategic, or is it mostly just reacting to things that no one saw coming?
