Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
I don't know if anyone else caught this, but during yesterday's match between Roma and Bayern, the outfield players were wearing kits with a different crest than the official club logo—yet the keeper was rocking the actual official one... is that even legal? It felt super weird seeing one team out there with two different logos on their shirts

I just hope those are actually official shorts 😁

hopefully not 🤣

is this the kit for this year or last year? I have this weird feeling—maybe from a promo one club did last season using something similar—but I can't quite put my finger on which team it was.

they'd look great in this too

it would look phenomenal 😁

Compared to what they're putting out today, this is honestly phenomenal...

It’s honestly hilarious... I’ll be looking at a jersey that is straight-up bottom-of-the-barrel trash, and then I scroll down just a little bit and suddenly everything looks incredible. 🤣

Solid kits, but that first one makes me think more of Jamaica than South Africa... at least that was my first thought before I realized whose kit it actually was. Anyway, they look good—I’m leaning towards the Northern Irish ones since I've always been a fan of those thin stripes.

Personally, I actually dig the kit. I wouldn't call it "trashed." If I were British, I think the blue shorts would bother me way more than those tiny little crosses that you can't even see unless you're standing within a yard and a half of them. To me, this thing feels... trance, sensation white, Amsterdam Arena, pure speed, Tiësto, and "this ain't nothing but a summer jam."🙂
Actually, now that I look at it, I love it even more. It’s giving me massive Ibiza vibes for next year. I really hope they drop a sleeveless version somewhere down the line.🤣
The only "Bed" part is that I'm not exactly a fan of the British, but man, this looks too good. Honestly, the jersey feels like one giant middle finger to their colonial history—or maybe "reverse colonization" if we're using the terminology coined by mellowowl38—since people from India, Muslim nations, Africa, and everywhere else have basically moved into the UK.

But seriously, it's awesome. My only regret is knowing that our national team would never get a kit this sick. I'm actually terrified of what Nike might cook up for us during the Euros in Poland or Ukraine... maybe some other multicultural madness, like a pink-and-white checkerboard pattern or something.🤣

And the scariest part? That's not even an impossible scenario.

🤣🤣
So, anyway... what's your take on him returning to football? I mean, what exactly did he have to do with jerseys in the first place?

I’m with you there—the second I saw that photo, those blue shorts jumped out at me. Honestly, they look just like an old Hajduk jersey or something. If they were a much deeper navy, maybe even almost black, then we'd be talking. But as they are? Not quite hitting the mark.

I honestly don't get why they’ve put that subtle, tonal star above the crest on the last couple of kits—you know, the one celebrating the '66 title? It’s like it's trying to hide in plain sight. I highly doubt it’s some kind of modesty thing, though—that’s just not how the British do things...

Honestly, when did Macron actually break through enough to be kitting out all these big clubs (Monaco, Napoli, West Ham, Leeds, Millwall, Mallorca...)? They used to be such a niche, relatively unknown brand until recently... though I have to admit, their kit designs aren't half bad.

I’m a fan of the Lakers too, honestly—but lately, they just seem to stumble right at the finish line during the final rounds... I mean, you can't pull off a miracle every single year, right?

If they actually go through with mowing the grass in two different shades, the players are just gonna end up getting lost in all that green.🤣

Rebecca White37 said:What really grinds my gears about jersey manufacturers is this obsession with mass-production templates. It’s just one single mold used for everything—it feels stylistically idiotic, honestly. I mean, look at how Puma uses the exact same design for the Ghana national team as they do for Stade Rennais; the only difference is the color palette. Is it actually that prohibitively expensive to design a custom kit tailored to a specific team? It feels lazy.

Well, if it were just those two jerseys being the same... look at any club wearing Puma and they're all rocking the same look in different colors. Doesn't mean Nike or Adidas are doing much better, though.

🙏🙏 Macron is actually killing it with the kits this year—we've already seen a few of theirs popping up lately...
And that Anderlecht one looks pretty sharp too (though let's be real, it's probably just Photoshop)

I’m really digging these simplified crests—kind of like what Panathinaikos uses (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3200/...b88fe1a2_o.jpg). Honestly, Arsenal would look pretty slick if they just ditched the badge for a literal cannon, wouldn't they?

some advice for Gerrard the diver😁😁
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Honestly, it feels like they just recycled that old Arsenal look from a few years back... pretty much a total miss for Nike at this point. But then again, looking at what the big clubs are putting out this season, maybe there's a silver lining in being a smaller club and getting stuck with the "vintage" gear instead.
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Entering the market with a decent kit... honestly, these types of jerseys always outsell the ones where they try way too hard to experiment... simplicity > clutter over everything.
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
At first, I wasn't really feeling the Manchester United look, but now? It’s actually growing on me... it looks solid on the players. My only gripe is—why can't they just tone down the crest directly on the fabric? Instead, it looks like some weird patch with a totally different shade of color than the rest of the shirt.

mellowowl38 said:Well, look who finally decided to grace us with her presence. Please tell me you aren't just passing through 😁
It's almost poetic—we all spend half the thread agreeing that Lyon has some of the ugliest kits this season (and they're even competing in a top-tier league!), and then you swoop in and declare them the prettiest 🤣
Also, just a heads up, the pink one is the away kit, not the home one 🙂

that shade of pink looks like a spilled milkshake on a rug 🤣🤣

Brenda Cook2 said:A while back, people were saying the national team needed a third kit, and I think someone mentioned gold. Honestly, it shouldn't have been gold—it should've been white. It’s similar to the away kit, using that blue pattern but with two shades of white instead. I gotta say, it looks killer... really clean. No clue why the USSF passed on it or why it got rejected. This is just a prototype of the player version, huge thanks to the crew over at Nike

The whole third kit idea is interesting, and the design itself isn't bad... though, if it were me, I'd take a slightly different approach to the design. I'd stick with the white base but sprinkle in some red squares here and there—just enough so you actually know which team is playing. Maybe put the patterns on the sleeves or along the sides? Something that makes it recognizable without being totally overwhelming...
