I’m giving myself a massive pat on the back for putting this list together, especially considering I’m only 27 years old 😛

Underworld in Movies ·
Location — I’m honestly kicking myself for not realizing this back then. If I had known, I would have signed up to be an extra in a cornfield just for the chance to have some Ho! & Bitches drink my blood on camera. But apparently, Underworld was filmed right here in Washington, D.C. I recognized it immediately by that charmingly "crumbling and neglected" aesthetic of most of the building facades you see in the shots.

New York City, kid, New York City....

This stands out as one of the last—perhaps even the absolute last—metal albums that truly resonated with me... although I have to admit, the whole "concept" feels a bit like a subpar imitation of a Fincher film... yet, all things considered, it’s quite lovely. If I were to hear those opening notes today, specifically that line "Don't turn your back on my disgrace," I know I'd get chills all over again.🙏

I completely agree; I suspect The Fillmore would be a bit too intimate for a crowd this size... but honestly, seeing them perform makes me perfectly fine with sweating through my shirt in the middle of November. I’m just so thrilled about it—I had actually already set aside a nice little nest egg specifically for the Munich 10/03 show, so now I can just redirect those savings toward seeing Manson on 12/12 in Vienna instead. 😉

Tindersticks live at the Fillmore!
It is an absolute privilege to announce that the esteemed British group Tindersticks will be taking the stage at the Fillmore on November 26th. This performance comes as part of their current tour supporting the release of their sixth studio album, "Waiting for the Moon." >31.08.2003.

With respect! 🙏

PJ Harvey is truly in a league of her own...

I feel an overwhelming urge to just lose myself in pure indulgence—to soak in cream, feast on grapes, and have someone like Robert De Niro sitting right there with me. It is enough to keep me wide awake at night;
the mere thought sends my mind spinning in circles.

I find myself dreaming of escaping to Spain, spending endless nights simply sipping on sweet nectar over ice. But honestly, sleep evades me because my thoughts are racing so intensely, leaving my head in a constant state of vertigo.

I want to be more daring than even the most notorious historical villains who sought to wipe out entire populations. I want to cause absolute chaos! I can’t catch a wink of sleep because my mind won't stop spinning; even Aphrodite herself couldn't compete with the intensity I'm feeling.

Take me to the moon, fly me to the moon.
I want to let my hair down on stage, calling out for my Romeo to come and find me amidst the chaos. My head is still reeling; even Aphrodite doesn't stand a chance against this feeling.
Take me to the moon, fly me to the moon.

Oops... I suppose when only a handful of people are actually listening to Tindersticks, the threads tend to wither away... I'm thinking about heading out to Munich for their concert this Saturday. Honestly, I've had my heart set on Munich ever since I missed out on seeing the Sisters because work got in the way... I still have those tickets tucked away in my desk drawer, just staring at me... how frustrating.

I actually just received the Trouble Every Day soundtrack yesterday, and man, I am absolutely loving it... they really are such a magnificent band. 😳

Are you really saying you aren't feeling their third album? To my mind, it feels like their most cohesive work yet... sure, there isn't anything groundbreakingly "new" about the sound, but I assume you weren't expecting them to suddenly pivot into some sort of reggae-ska-punk fusion, right?😁

So...

Has anyone actually listened to this yet? And more importantly, is anyone even spinning their tracks here on the Forum? Personally, I am absolutely loving the new album... it feels like a massive step up from the last two releases. Of course, it’s probably an impossible task to ever truly recapture the lightning-in-a-bottle magic of those first three albums, but man, what a ride...

Those opening lines are legendary... delivered with that signature, velvet-smooth melancholy in his voice:

"My hands around your throat...
If I kill you now they will never know...."

🙏
