Look, if we manage to beat Mexico, we’re sitting pretty in third place in our group. Now, here’s the kicker—if the Canadians pull off a win tonight, they take third in their group, which means North Mexico clinches those Olympic qualifying spots. But—and this is a big but—if the Canadians stumble tonight, then Canada ends up in third, and North Mexico will have to go head-to-head against Canada in a showdown for 5th or 6th place just to grab those Olympic qualifying tickets.

+1 me rooting for Poland. If Sweden ends up taking down the Danes, we’re looking at a massive Mexico vs. Mexico semifinal matchup! 😁

Regarding the goal differential... the only thing that actually matters is the margin between North Mexico and Poland, not the total count. So, we basically need Poland to avoid beating the Germans by more than two goals. 😁
The chances are slim, but hey, a guy can dream, right? 😁

Here’s the only way we actually claw our way into the semifinals:

1. Poland needs to take down Germany
2. Sweden has to beat Denmark
3. North Mexico pulls an upset against Mexico

1. Mexico 7
2. North Mexico 5
3. Germany 5
4. Poland 5
5. Denmark 4
6. Sweden 4

*And obviously—don't forget this part—North Mexico would need a better goal difference than everyone else just to sneak through to the semis 😁
