IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Has anyone actually tried sending the U-RA xml form to the IRS? I opened this thread, but it looks like nobody has said anything 😲

Things are finally starting to make sense. Check out these comments on Fox News:

"Just like a dog owner enjoys their pet's barking, a neighbor has a right to enjoy the peace and quiet of their own home. Dogs bark, sure, but they have to respect the public order and peace established by law. If an owner loves their animal that much, they should just keep it inside the house."

"I have one question: if this owner misses their dog so much, why don't they just let it stay inside with them and call it a day?? Poor little pup, but honestly, it's the owner's fault first and foremost. Just let the dog in the house, for crying out loud, instead of complaining everywhere... it means it's easier for you to watch a dog suffer in a backyard shed than to actually let it inside. That says a lot about you, man."

"It really comes down to personal character and a lack of consideration for neighbors. I have two dogs myself, and I never let them out all night so they won't disturb anyone, and I'll even calm them down during the day if I notice them barking for no reason."

I came across a little piece of info today that hasn't made it into any of the news reports yet...

The prosecutor is actually a huge animal lover. She’s got two dogs, two ducks—they even have their own little pool—and some parrots.

But here's the thing: she doesn't keep her dogs on a leash.

Rachel Palmer56 said:Yeah, well, we all realized that part. It’s just that nobody actually knows who was bothering whom. Like I said, a dog doesn't just bark for no reason, so you have to wonder—what if the old lady was the one provoking the dog?
You mentioned yourself that it happens right under her window.🤷
My dog only barks when he's provoked.🥳
And I'm still telling you, that whole thing about the doorbell isn't true.

The court decided the dog was disturbing the neighbor by barking.
In this dispute, it really doesn't matter WHY the dog is barking. He's disturbing the neighbor, period. He was outside on a chain. Now, he has to be inside at night, and he can bark at his owner as much as he wants.

I guess you can claim whatever you want when you don't have any actual arguments.

Rachel Palmer56 said:That’s not really true. I mean, I guess the bells used to be way bigger than they are now.
Back then, people were probably a lot more moral and just generally more chill. They actually found joy in the little things, like hearing church bells ring or listening to a singer perform. Nowadays, it feels like everything just gets on everyone's nerves.🤷

That’s just not true.
I've been scouring the websites for bell installation companies and even checking through various local parish pages, but I haven't seen anything yet. So far, I haven't come across a single instance where a church replaced their old bells with ones that were actually smaller than the originals. Maybe it just hasn't happened, or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? I guess it’s just not something you see very often.

I think I saw a movie a while back about all that urban noise pollution cars make, and I guess those types of lawsuits happen here in America too, right 🙂?!

Rachel Palmer56 said:Maybe the old lady is just being too pushy and bothering Bear.🤷
Nazalos, we'll never really know, since Bear can't defend himself in court.😢

The Party in this dispute is actually the dog owner.

Megan Chase43 said:How was all of that handled back in the day, maybe thirty years ago, before these associations even existed?

Dogs were barking, chickens were clucking, bells were ringing, and trucks were hauling freight all over the country. Meanwhile, the only thing on TV was endless junk programming.

The bells haven't been ringing nearly as much as they used to; that’s for sure. Over the last decade or so, I've noticed churches moving more into quiet residential neighborhoods. Now, everything is being automated, and they're installing these massive bells that just seem louder than ever.

In most major American cities, there are actually specific local ordinances that govern whether or not you can keep roosters.

Dog barking has always been an issue. It’s just that back in the day, we didn't have the internet, so there wasn't really a way to look things up or find out what was going on. I guess information just wasn't as easy to come by then.

hiddenmarlin14 said:It’s all great and wonderful (though I don't really have the best opinion of that "fantastic" emperor ☕ ), but my pup doesn't just bark for no reason. I mean, it happens sometimes—maybe once every few months—where he has a bad dream and then barks in his sleep. ☕ Usually, it's pretty quiet, but last night he happened to let out a loud woof in his sleep ☕ and I wasn't sure what to do. 🤷 When I heard him, I just woke him up, told him to be quiet, gave him a little pet, and then he fell right back into a peaceful sleep. ☕

I guess I don't know where your dog is. If he's hanging out with you inside the house—then obviously it's not a big deal at all.
If he were on a leash in the backyard right under the neighbor's window like the dog mentioned in the thread title—well, maybe he'd be barking more often.

Megan Chase43 said:I see the Peaceful Life Recording association is up in arms about the church bells.
How on earth do we train church bells to stop ringing?

Personally, I don't feel right if there aren't any church bells around.

I live just about 375 feet away from a church that has four bells weighing in at over two tons total.

The association wants to get rid of the bells marking the time—kind of like an unnecessary dog barking—and they want the religious ringing toned down, especially in the mornings.

Rachel Palmer56 said:To me, it’s totally normal for dogs to bark or even for a singer to practice in the morning—it doesn't bother me at all.🤷
It’s only reasonable to take action if an animal actually bites someone, heaven forbid.
But I just can't wrap my head around banning an animal from making noise.🤷
As a proud dog owner myself, I’d want to help, but honestly, there isn't much I can do about it.
My dog never barks just to be loud; if he does, it’s because he thinks there's a threat nearby.
So, I see this as an attack on the animal—basically forcing them to act unnaturally.

Nobody is actually banning barking. That dog can bark as much as it wants.
The issue is just that between 8 PM and 8 AM, it needs to stay inside because the barking is disturbing the immediate neighbor. It's what they call a noise nuisance.

hiddenmarlin14 said:Does anyone else know this? ☕

I honestly think it's always better to just stop the noise before it even starts.

And I guess the best way is really just training your dog so they don't bark without a reason.

Rachel Palmer56 said:In that case, everything is negotiable. Just move the dog away from the window and call it a day.🤷
My neighbor’s rooster—or maybe it's a singing bird?—wakes me up every single morning at five. Should I just sue?🧐
Maybe I'll file a lawsuit against the rooster. If we're going down that road, let's sue all those cows that moo too much, too. By February, I might end up suing every cat in the neighborhood.☕

If there isn't a residential building on the property where the dogs are, they can roam free.

I'm not sure which area you live in, but in New York City, there are actually local ordinances that prohibit keeping roosters.

No, in a legal dispute, it isn't the animal being sued, it's the owner. It's just like if a dog bites someone; you don't sue the dog, you sue the person responsible for it.

Our Wish for a peaceful life association has been flooded lately with all sorts of noise complaints. We actually dealt with one guy—a truck driver—who was losing it because his neighbor’s dog would bark right under his window every single night. I guess the poor guy was showing up to work totally exhausted. He said he was worried about his own safety on the road, but also felt bad about the lives of everyone else out there. Even if he wasn't driving a rig, though, everyone deserves some peace and quiet in their own home.

Maybe we could just merge this thread with the Neighbor from hell discussion. 👍
Hey there,

Are we talking about the intersection of Grahan and Frankfurt Avenue?

If that's the case, I'm actually in touch with those residents.
