neonfox65 said:Danica Patrick and Paul Hospenthal are calling it quits after seven years of marriage
Danica took to her Facebook page on Tuesday to share the news about the split.
"It’s with a heavy heart that I’m letting my fans know that Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage after seven years," she shared. "This isn't easy for either of us—it was a mutual decision. He's been such an important part of my life and a great friend, and he always will be..."
Paul works as a physical therapist—they actually met while he was helping her recover from an injury. They tied the knot back in 2005, with Paul being 17 years older than Danica.
This comes right as Danica wraps up her very first full season in NASCAR, following her move over from IndyCar.
😢😢😢 I’m honestly just sitting here wondering why... seriously, I’ve been spiraling on this one for a while now and I can't quite wrap my head around it.
neonfox65 said:Melissa Roberts96, did you catch the race? Keselowski jumped from 22nd all the way up to 5th—insane... Hamlin took 2nd though. 🙂
I totally missed it, I was stuck on the road all weekend long. Congrats to your drivers, though—hopefully I’ll have some good news to share about my girl Danica soon. 😁
I mean, honestly, it was kind of a ride... she actually started up in P3 and was holding down third place for about 14 laps too, which felt pretty solid... then, naturally, she ended up slamming headfirst into a concrete barrier at P31 😢 and man, talk about a heavy hit, just look at where her steering wheel ended up after that impact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwLdY...feature=g-hist

Honestly, seeing him pull that off makes me so happy, especially since he was stuck way back at the tail end of the pack at the start 👋Way to go, Tony!! Meanwhile, Danica had another absolutely miserable run in the Nationwide series and ended up smashing right into the wall again 😢
So next weekend is finally happening... man, I am seriously losing my mind, it feels like every single track in the country is basically hosting a race at once, I can barely contain myself... neonfox65, come on, quit stalling and post some killer shots of that Daytona 🙂

neonfox65 said:Verstappen? I mean, the guy is a former Formula 1 champion...
Never heard of him, honestly, and he doesn't exactly scream "charismatic," so thank God he isn't behind the wheel all the time.👋
neonfox65 said:Melissa Roberts96, you gonna catch the Sprint Cup at 9:00?
So, funny story, I’m actually watching it right now because I have absolutely zero plans and nothing better to do with my life, even though sprints aren't really my thing, plus this live stream I stumbled upon is an absolute dumpster fire—so I figured I'd ask, where do you usually tune in?
Yeah, and he’s the one who pushed her down to 12th, even though she honestly had a shot at the top 5 if things had gone differently. I mean, who even is this driver? I’ve seriously never heard a word about him in my life, yet apparently, everyone’s acting like he does this exact same thing every single time they hit the track.
What’s your take on those moves at #22 and #7 during that last lap? Honestly, I feel like it was totally uncalled for, especially since she had been sitting pretty in the top 5 the entire race—it was her moment, period. Even the fans who can't stand her were basically shouting from the rooftops that it wasn't okay, and the fact that he forced Sadler out even earlier just makes it worse. Plus, if you catch that post-race interview, you can see exactly what kind of person we're dealing with here.
Nah, it’s not even that, I’m just dying to see how NASCAR actually handles it when they aren't just turning left on an oval all day and get thrown onto a totally different kind of track.
Man, I am seriously counting down the days until we hit Watkins Glen International, mostly because I’m just dying to see a race that isn't stuck on some boring-ass oval for once.
I totally missed the live broadcast because it was like 2:30 in the morning here, and honestly, who wants to be awake then? So I just hunted down whatever clips and highlights I could find after the fact.
neonfox65 said:Actually, this doesn't really have anything to do with NASCAR. The cars are totally different—they drive on dirt, and drivers from all sorts of other series jump in...
I mean, fair enough, but there's a huge chunk of NASCAR drivers in the mix, which makes it pretty fun to watch them tackle a completely different environment, plus Kyle Busch actually took the win.
Is it actually possible that I stumbled onto some NASCAR stuff and you haven't even heard of it? Haha Honestly, I’m just now wrapping my head around this whole thing too, but from what I can gather, it’s basically this big humanitarian race featuring all the NASCAR stars Anyway, here’s the link for this year's preview so you can go ahead and check it out if you want http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG17dbNe3xY
There aren't any nationwide races on the schedule this weekend, which is a total bummer, but we've got Prelude to the Dream happening today instead, and honestly, I'm just sitting here on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Danica can actually pull it off.
